Waiting for an eruption

Mount Hood Oregon

I sit on Mount Hood and wait for an eruption.
The Cascades don’t really cascade around me
As I rest in the Pacific Northwest.
Somewhere between Clackamas
And the mighty Hood River,
My anger slowly boils and vents.
I sit on Mount Hood and wait for an eruption.
