Celebration of 2 very different observances in a poem - Dylan Thomas and The Chicken Dance |
| Raise your glass my fair weather friends 'Tis time to rage, rage into the dying of the light. Dylan Thomas's words spring to mind As we exit the White Horse Tavern And walk the darkened streets of Greenwich Village. Our arms slung around each other shoulders As we stumble down the street in drunken haze Laughter erupts as we stumble and almost fall. My friend yanks me up and together Through our madness of joviality We dance and hum the Chicken Dance Our laughter bounding and bouncing off the world around us. Another night of celebration comes to a close As we make our way home. 14 lines. Notes ▶︎ |
