Flimsy Excuses

This paper is far too thin to write on
that book is too fragile to read
I cannot relax in this wobbly chair
it’s very unstable indeed.

This rickety cane will not support me
Nor a thin veil keep my head warm
Like a poorly built porch with rusty nails
I’m too frail to weather the storm.
