Two Prompts in One

Most often … prompt describes not being late
but it’s also used to help writers create.
The prompt today is punctuality
Is that punny to you, like it is to me?

A glance at my watch shows it’s half past four
And though I should tweak it a little bit more
I must be prompt in finishing this rhyme
I promised my date I’d be ready on time.
