| Yes, it has been awhile... but I did blog during the month of March. It was a poetry blog - one entry per day. A challenge I managed to accomplish, though I did have to do a few days at a time, then put them in as separate entries, but still... Here is it if you want to check it out:
Blog City - Day 1599 Since FivetricksterTreats likes facts on Fridays, let's give him 11 uses for a drinking straw except drinking that's too dang easy. 1. blowing paint across white paper for a cool splattered effect. 2. a tourniquet - if you are in dire need, though it would be better to use reusable heavier plastic straws for this and maybe even bind a couple together - they come in big packs and who needs that many reusable straws anyway. 3. hair rollers 4. pea shooters - a grade 7 fall pastime. 5. a stir stick for your coffee. 6. a telescope to peek through. 7. chopsticks - again the more sturdy reusable ones for this would be helpful. 8. a pointer - use this instead of your finger when reading - a book or around the room (if you are in kindergarten). 9. art material - for gluing small pieces onto your wonderful design. 10. a breathing tube if you are underwater or need a traiatomy 11. a stick to poke dead things on the beach. Okay so all of those were not from google. But from Google I found this... https://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2015/02/23-practical-ways-reuse-disposable-... and http://www.instructables.com/id/11-unusual-uses-for-straws/ Who knew they could be so versatile. Happy Weekend everyone! |
