I can't hear her over the sound of my pissing,
So, I don't know what it is that I'm missing,
I hope she'll not think her I'm dissing,
I just can't hear over the sound of my pissing.

There're only two things more satisfying than writing poetry and that is having sex with someone you love and a huge bowl of delicious chili! If you can find a way to combine all three, that would be heaven.

My newly wed wife made me beg
for a little bit more cheese on my egg

I had dental surgery today. One of my teeth developed a cavity that was unnoticed until it began getting packed with food. It never hurt but the Doc said it was too far gone and had to come out. Well, to make a long story short, the tooth had grown two roots instead of the usual one and had to be surgically removed. The procedure wasn't terribly painful but after the local wore off... OUCH! There will be no poetry writing today.

Horny tree frogs croak
to attract suitable mates.
High school basketball.

Fridged rain trickles
inside in a broken window,
Mother's final breath.

The wail of traffic
traveling on wet pavement,
A lonely wife's cries.

A mockingbird calls
from the treetops to his mate,
A black hearse passes.

Cloudy blue-gray sky
masking the snow-capped mountains,
A lonesome poet.

A fallen oak tree
grows fungus and sphagnum moss,
Forgotten graveyard.

I don't know what her name is,
I don't know what her game is,
All I know is that she seems to be
The one who brings me joy.
I'll trust in my heartbeat,
As I'm sitting in the hot seat,
And if she'd simply look at me,
I'd be a happy boy.
a happy boy,
Her attention I'd enjoy,
a happy boy.
At first I'll play it coy,
a happy boy.
With her feelings I'll toy,
a happy boy.
And if she'd get annoyed,
unhappy boy,
I'd be an unhappy boy.

My mother died of lung cancer
no one could answer her disease
it matters to me to pause
and back a cause to find a cure.

My friend's father had a stroke
no one could answer his disease
it matters to my friend to pause
and back a cause to find a cure.

Stroke matters to my friend
as lung cancer matters to me
together we live among the others
sisters brothers dads mothers.

If what matters to me is different
than the things that matter to you
you'd be wrong to think I don't care
because, believe me brother, I do.

A man was imprisoned behind a fence,
surrounded by an intense cloud
that smelled of dry cleaner fluid.
His anger and frustration grew daily
and was hurtful enough
to make death seem attractive.
When he was finally granted freedom,
he was disappointed to see that the world
was no different than his old trap.

Without walls, there is no hope of escape.
