I can see that. A few decades ago, when we traveled a lot, I, too, could live out of one small suitcase.
But in old age and alone, my needs have multiplied.

You just reminded me of my mother. She always had brewed tea and she even walked around the house, sometimes, holding a cup. She wouldn't drink other hot drinks, voluntarily.
I guess we think of climate change as the rise in temperatures, which we are certainly experiencing here, but I think it’s more about the rise in extreme weather events such as floods, cyclones and extreme cold too. It seems every country is experiencing these. The weather in the US has certainly made the news worldwide. Hope everyone you know is safe, Joy.

If only we could send you some of our cold weather! This year, the winter up in our hemisphere has been brutal. I am wondering about this climate change thing now.
So sorry! Some memories do hurt, as this must, too.
Still, you did have a good time with her just before you left, and that's really something to be happy about.

“Hot chocolate is like a hug from the inside.”
Do you like hot chocolate, and what are your most favored hot drinks?
I am definitely a tea drinker. The idea of coffee when I’ve only just woken up is actually disgusting. So tea for me brought in to me whilst still in bed by my husband. Only then can I think of starting my day. Breakfast includes more tea or even two. But then something strange happens around ten thirty, that’s when I need a coffee, tea will not do. And then that’s it for coffee. So back to drinking tea on and off throughout the rest of the day. No hot chocolate. No more coffee. Just tea.
