Agreed, also.
Yes, WdC contests do need more serious thinking and planning, and they are priceless for writers to test their own craft. And like you, I bet most of us will need time to come up with a good story or a writing of any sort.

I agree 100% with everything you said. Sadly though, we live in a pretty small house, there's no room for my children to join us, nor are their houses large enough for us. I think living as a large family is nice, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. My only concern (here in the states) is that the daughter I might live with would get tired of cooking for a group. Yes, we could cook, at times. She has a problem being on her feet for extended periods of time, I can be on my feet, but my sciatica nerve pain tends to 'act up'. It would be a challenge, that's for sure. A challenge, but not impossible.
Prompt: Have fun with these words- subitaneous, reflect, address, wave, fuss, restrict, key, waist, and chronography
The subitaneous arrival of my grandaughter from the other side of the country surprised us all. It caused me to reflect on the fact that all the fuss which usually occurs when expecting overnight guests is unnecessary . She just waltzed in and made herself at home. She even has her own key to our address. She gave me a kiss and gave a nonchalant wave to everyone else. It seemed to me as if she’d lost weight and I asked her if she’d been restricting what she had been eating. She said she’d been trying to lose an inch or two off her waist. She had no need to of course she has a wonderful figure and is really smart. I asked her what chronography meant but she had no idea.
