Well, y'all, I've lost 23 pounds on a whole food, plant based diet! With so many choices of organic produce, whole grains and fruits, I can snack all day long. Many people choose to become Vegan to object to the horrors the animals used for food are subjective to. The videos of the factory farms were a big part of my decision. The weight loss was an added bonus. If anyone asks, I let them know that there is plenty of protein in vegetables and nuts. Animal protein is hard to digest, and linked to many health issues like coronary disease or some cancers. I highly recommend this lifestyle to anyone, especially those with diabetes or blocked arteries. |
