This is such a sweet story! I love that the son loved the tulips that he help his father give to his mom for Mother"s Day!!! I can see the imagery thorough out the little story! This was a great piece of information about Lighthouses! I learned some facts that I didn't know about. I would definitely read this to my son when he was younger. I think that it was neat how they had to the whale oil to use to light the lighthouse and then clean off the lens too! It was a really good quick read for others to learn from!

I think this has alot imagery that the first one didnt have. I would've thought you would have gone into more description on the characters but its allright. Well I have to say this was an interesting story. I would say that there would need to be more description at the beginning why they had broke up to begin with. Give some back story to this would help to understand all the reasons. You need more imagery in this story. You just lack description through out the whole internet relationship. I would have thought you would have more detail at the end it see if this goes on! It is a good start to the story just needs more description and running it through spell check would help too!!!

I know scratches are not fun especially when they are from angry felines! I think that I would not move with cats or dogs with out them being in carriers. I love that you have used your resume as an example of what a Web Page can be used for. I see that you used the same color scheme as your Biography web page. I love that you enjoy your work as you can tell in your resume with taking care of WDC.

It is good that you used type instead of script for your resumes so others can see that it is easier to read this. Now others can use the Web Pages to show their experiences.

Web Pages are only for memberships Premiums and above! You have stated thin clearly in your material. Information about WDC membership can be found in the link below. "Compare Free and Paid Membership Benefits" 

This is a well informed web page! You give all the points of how a web page can be helpful for. This day in age almost everyone is "wired." Being wired is a good way for EVERYONE to see how you react online and offline. Employers seek out to see what is being said online about their future employers and present employees as well!

Different reasons for web pages listed in your guidelines:

1. Detailed Biographies
2. Uploading Your Resumes
3. Displaying of favorite items in your choice of format
4. A welcome and easy guide to your portfolio
5. Showcase favorite images/photographs
6. Link to other digital/video works
7. The possibilities are endless!

I agree that you must know some basic HTML to create any web page whether it is a program that does it for you. Meaning you just insert what images and ideas have directly on their and then save. Or just creating it from scratch!

The HTML Links for you learn to use HTML are Informative and helpful and click through as you check each one out! This is really important when you are posting anything like this web page! I like that you have put for them to Google if they are not able to understand with these links!

Using online free image hosting sites are great idea, so you have more room in your part for your writing! The links work for each of these when clicked on them. Everyone should be able to understand the sites when clicking on the link. You can also search Google for free sites!

F.A.Q.'s on creating the Web Page


This section is great for all the questions that is wondered by most because they are lost once HTML comes into the factor! I love how you have it centered and easily done to understand. This way the blank look and the thought "huh" has gone away.

Looking through these, you see examples:

For creating the web page in the "item body."


--I do understand now that I have read this in this section!

--I would say some of this is like you using "WritingML" in static, folder, or any other item in your port.

Adding a Background Image is something I never could understand.


--Now that I know that you are supposed to save with a free image host like Photo Bucket

Linking up images are used by proper tags!


--glad again to know this because I never really could figure out now to do this either!

Creating Tables is good way to show spreadsheets in your web pages.


--Adding tables can have your groups on the webpage that you need to make sure you keep track of the group contests, raising gps, or like we have now "Score Board" in the groups.

Now on to the review!

Hello Lorenr ,

The only suggestions I have are: Bold each section such as Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. (RIC) I would put what Guillain-Barre Syndrome is at the beginning of the piece so that you can understand more about what you went through as you read this piece. The more information you read about before what has happened to you the better it will be to understand. You could put this in a separate static item so that if they want to learn more you can link it to this item for more information.

Please read on to hear what I have to say about this! This was a touching story that I think EVERYONE should read about! I would have went into more detail on my reaction to this whole story and the info. I would have just gave the whole Item away and no one would have to read this! I think this an IMPORTANT story for others to read!

First of all, I wanted to say that I am so glad that you made it through all of this to be able to write about your experience with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Pink Floyd's lyrics definitely fit what you have gone through with this disorder! I feel for you so much while reading this! I am so glad that in 9.5 months you were able to battle this! Most Preteens would have not have made it that long. I agree with you that is the age where you want to die and not face the fight of dealing with this disorder because it is so new. You have done a great job with giving out information of what procedures should be done to help speed up the process of getting back your mobility along with being able to function live as a preteen or older!

I started to cry as I was reading this because of all the pain you were going through to fight this disorder. Its amazing how you fought for your body as it was becoming paralyzed in a matter of hours. Not being able to communicate at all with any function of your body. Being trap in your own body, in my opinion is the same as being trapped in an addiction you cant do anything to stop because you are given the prescription every month. Doctors not listening to you tell them that it is not working anymore until you find one that is listening.

I can sympathize with not being able to walk with the one leg being numb because that was about the same time I was diagnosed with "Hyperthyroidism." Doctors not knowing if my leg would get the feeling back or not. Being on crutches for a few months. All though your disorder was more damaging then mine, I can understand where your coming from. Especially when the drs had no idea what anything was becuase it being so new...

I could picture everything you were struggling from as you described this and no one understand that you just wanted your nose scratched. Having to go through all of the ABC's just to tell them this. Using your eyebrows and lips to do simple words like "yes and no" to communicate...frustrated because you cant just say "Yes or No" Everyone doesn't realize how much communication is taking for granted until they are in a situation where they are not able to but to use their eye brows or their lips like you had to do during this time.

Wow about the Fly, you would think they would have tried more to keep this from happening! I got sick to my stomach for a second, and your parents were alot better than my Father would have been. He would have had the papers already there for them to sign... I do agree that Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago is one of the best. I used to live in Northern Indiana and had a friend of mine go there for rehab after surgery with spina bifida.

I am so glad that you were able to make so many friends through your stay at RIC...Love the nurse stories, especially the one with Timmy and his mom! I am glad that you were able to help Juan with getting better too. Its amazing how much you take for granted until something traumatic happens to you! I am glad that you did follow what the dr said and you did WALK out of RIC like they said!

First of all, I have to say this is a beautiful love story of a biracial relationship! Its sad when you have to "hide" relationship with your family because of the acceptance. I am glad that the woman is happy to be with him no matter what everyone says. This is the way you really find out who your "true" friends are.

I hate that the woman had to experience this! I hope that if this is based on a true story of some one you know, it will work out family racial prejudice. I hope that both of the families will accept you both and nothing happens. Its ashame when family racism does occur.

I have seen it personally with my ex husbands one uncle. Now I have already expressed to my ex how my kids will not be around him at all. If they are I will call for someone to come get them from there.

Now for the other review parts:

Everything you have written about in this story can be seen as you read the item. The emotion in this portrayed in gave the best imagery I have seen in a long time. I love the emotion between the character and her boyfriend. To learn from the experience when he picked her up at the beauty shop with her friends. The response of her friends really shows the picture of what happens if you were right there getting your hair done.

I believe that you could make this into a longer items and hope to see what happens when they decided not to hide their relationship. I hope that their families are proud that hey have found someone to love for their rest of their lives.

Thank you for sharing this with everyone her on WDC! It really makes others think what is really important in life. That your family really can show racism that you have never seen before!

This is an AWESOME poem!! I love the imagery in this as you read from stanza to stanza!! You have tons of description in here that can be pictured as you go from stanza to stanza. You keep the readers attention as you show the imagery and the story about the "Phanthom of the Hallows."

The picture you have with this poem really puts the finishing touches! You can hear the horse clopping as he is being instructed to go through the hallows to seek out the dead souls!

I love how you talk about this being the eve of "All Saints Day." I have learned from another item that I have reviewed abouttthis holiday. Adding the little bit of history really put the touch to this poem!

What I really like is that you have written a story based off this poem which I will have to come back and take a look at!

There is a nice flow from word to word in this! Stanzas keep the readers attention from one to the next. Each stanza has enough eerie feeling as you are read through it and see the picture in your mind!!

Its all Hallow Eve!

It's AllHallows Eve
lets begin with a fright
as the undead creatures
move through the night

closeall your windows
and lock up your doors
a werwolfis prowling
along the dark moors

Screams of horror
fill the night air
as ghosties and ghoulies
circle the fair

but why have they come here?
whatdo they seek?
the answer, the question,
a trick or a treat?

They move through the town
striking fear as they go
then start to retreat
to their home down below

The night draws to end
and the creatures retire
The moon's light has gone
The food they require.

It's quiet and calm
and all is serene
so until next year

! I have ran this threw spell check and grammar check. I went ahead and bolded the items that were misspelled or correcting letter to a Uppercase. If for some reason it does not show up on the review as I copy and past this back from my word-processing program. I will also list it below stanza by stanza.

First Stanza:

The first stanza has “All” bolded and should be “all” lower case “a.” The flow of the words are not rushed. It does give you the sense of Halloween night of fright! I could picture the creatures come out from the dead moving through the night! I think if you follow the comment below you could really make this spookier as you start the poem. The reader will stay right there with the whole poem.

Second stanza

The word that is bolded is what you need to correct. That way they really know who is coming out to see them…

I would add some punctuation to this stanza. When you are reading it out loud, this just goes like there is not stop.

This way you can have some awesome imagery if you are descriptive with this stanza. Writing more about the werewolf and how frightful he is would be awesome…really give attention to what the werewolf is doing or what he looks like!

Third stanza

I love the imagery in this stanza. You have done a great job! I have to say the only problem I see is that you have no punctuation. This makes it hard to tell which part is the most exciting part! If it is the screams of horrors or the ghosts and ghouls in the circle of night? I think if you put some punctuation you will be able to let the imagery work better and stays

Fourth Stanza

I would rewrite the this stanza because it is pretty meek. You need to add more to this stanza to keep this readers attention. If you don’t the reader is not going to go on with the poem. You could turn the questions into a descriptive sentences. I am just again suggesting and nothing more.

Fifth Stanza

This stanzas makes you want to ask who is “They?” This again is meek and doesn’t keep the readers attention at all. Again this stanza needs some punctuation. This would really help the reader as they are reading. This becomes a run on sentence that is now something that is tiredsome to read.

Sixth Stanza

Again you have one “.” and all the sentences are running together. This has some great imagery with the creatures, moons, and food being gone. This really can make a great picture in your mind as you see the Halloween end.

Seventh Stanza

This is a great part and one of my favorites as you can see this as they are getting everything done for Halloween until Next year! Error wise there is nothing wrong!!

Best Parts of the Poem:

Screams of horror

as ghosties and ghoulies
circle the fair
---------------------------

It's quiet and calm
and all is serene
so until next year
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Both of these stanzas show imagery through out for the reader to want to keep reading the poem. You can hear the screams in the night air! Ghosties and Ghoulies are out to play! I love how you transition to the end of Halloween, all the calmness and serene in the air!!!
