A free verse poem with a natural theme.
Mother nature was sullen and reluctant.
Her tears shed not upon the Earth,
And the sunlight was withheld by her wanting.
Normally, her excitement and interest showed,
But on this eve, she sighed without any wind.
Her treasure, was in her stillness ... on this day.
Those textures were bathed in watercolor dreams'
Her body, made of rocks and trees.
Which I caressed with my mind, in her beauty.
She fondled my emotions with her mystery,
My Goddess of organic delight ...
Whom I lay before with true desire.
I felt her, breathing life into me,
Her air, with the tinge of honey and oak.
I was overcome.
I lay in the meadow, basking in the lush hush,
Waiting for her to speak ...
The next moment was magic!
A bird ... flitting from branch to branch chirped,
Breaking those chains of stillness ...
And I knew that Mother was speaking again.
Somehow, the wind from the bird's wings,
Made the old woman wake up ...
And a breeze swept over my kingdom.
The clouds parted,
My Mother smiled on me with her light ...
As she embraced her sun God.
I fell asleep and was taken to OZ.
Now, I have a heart, and a brain ...
I am made anew!
