A musing on phones.
The Phone

The phone rings.
Your brother’s on the phone.
He wants your advice
that he will never take.

The phone sings.
Your sister’s on the phone.
She explains her ills
so you can doubt them all.

The phone pings.
The Girl’s on the phone.
She wants a tax form filled
so she can shout at you.

The phone tings.
The Boy’s on the phone.
He asks that you call
the doc because he can’t.

The phone wings
its way through the window
when you send it where
it should remain.
