![]() Written jointly by Amethyst Angel h✟k ♡ ![]() ![]() ![]() I set quill to parchment, recording these words: I've found joy after years of pain! Losing sight of blessings I know to be true I nearly drowned in my own rain. Heavens above hold day's warm sun, night's clear moon The star, the planet and the cloud We see what we choose to and choose what we see Hear soft raindrops or thunder loud Pathetic goes both ways, as Snoopy taught us: Wallowing in self-pity doesn't work. Facing up to what I've done wrong to others Is the duty I must not shirk. Blessings, sometimes in disguise, come to us all It's up to us to understand Internal storm's higher intended purpose And when to walk, to run or just simply stand. Joy comes with forgiveness – never hold a grudge Whatever's done to me is past. I open my hands, my heart, my mind, my soul Letting love's light through at long last. When crystal rainbows shimmer through fading tears A pure treasure shall be my own Elements - earth, fire, water, air, ether Their true colours in me have shown ABCB, 11-8-11-8 syllable pattern LINE COUNT 24 Odd numbered verses, without italics, written by Amethyst Angel h✟k ♡ ![]() Even numbered verses, with italics, written by THANKFUL SONALI Party Hopping! ![]() Written for "Poetry Pals" ![]() Chosen prompts: 1.
