22) Do you prefer a warm/hot or cool/cold climate?

Well if you read my last prompt answer then you know that I live in Indiana sooooo.....LoL...I would much rather have warm or hot weather over cold and winter weather any day for sure...BUT I know that if I could have it my way I would take all of the seasons except for winter...I would much rather have spring, fall and summer..I like the crisp fall leaves and their colors...I love how spring brings green trees and flowers...and summer time means sun and fun....Winter affects me mentally and physically....it brings me down into a slump..it hurts my body which brings me down even further...I have fibromyalgia as well so the cold really bothers that as well....so I am NOT a happy winter person at all!!~ I much rather have it be like 78 degrees all the time as a base temp....then it just get warmer in summer...I could do without the freezing temps and ice, snow, sleet and cold! Give me sun and warmth any day over cold and dreary! If and I could delete the cold and snow that I would be a happy person all the time...and in less pain!! That would be so awesome, to have less pain...ahhh....that is a dream come true!!

So yea I prefer warm and hot seasons and places...I do not like the cold as it hurts me mentally....and emotionally. I need to learn better ways of handling the cold....blah but hey..the seasons come and the seasons go..I meld with each one!

21) How do you like those infamous “April Showers”? Do you even get rain in your area during this time of year? If not, you can write about when you do.

Well, I live in Indiana where you can see all four seasons happen in a hour around here LoL...Literally..I watched it last week in a matter of one hours time...went from cloudy to rain to sleet to hail to snow...The weather around here seems to change more often then gas prices Ha Ha

We get it all as you can tell....and when we have rain...sometimes it will be for a few hours up to over a week of it...from sprinkles to raging storm....a light shower to lightening, thunder and wind gusts that will leave your yard full of tree limbs and sometimes parts of a actual tree here and there LoL...April showers in Indiana can also still mean snow, sleet, hail and who knows really what else because the weather here is so very weird!! April showers here could actually not come till March or it could be April showers that happen in May....just never know around here! I do know that April showers bring not just flowers...but the sign that summer and kayaking is right around the corner! I cannot wait....rain can, and sometimes is depressing...but the past couple of years I have been working a lot on treatment and therapy for my mental health so I am learning that while I cannot STOP the depression if it comes with the rain...but that I can now be able to see that there IS a good side of it..it WILL end and it DOES mean summer is coming and that makes me a happier person. Weather truly affects mental health....the winter blues can be horrible....the rain can be horrible...I am a happier and in more of an UP level when the weather is nicer. The weather also affects physical health so it can bring on swelling, pain, arthritis, headaches...and many other things. Amazing the things in life that have impacts like that...we just have to learn coping skills to help us manage as best as possible when these things happen.

Living in Indiana truly is a taste of each and every season...full force....from hail to tornadoes..we get it all at some point through out the year...just sometimes Indiana gets a little confused and gives us snow in April or rain in January Ha Ha!~

20) What’s your current writing project? Are you progressing the way you expected?

Well this is an interesting timing for this question actually..LoL...I am starting the Seasonal Construct Cup tomorrow for the 1st time. I have read and been told that it is the most challenging and difficult challenge on here...I was encouraged to enter this contest and that fact made it even more of a challenge that I wanted to try out...at least TRY and give it my best shot because I know that this challenge is a learning and growing experience more than anything and that, in my opinion, is something that nobody should ever say they have enough of! I believe that you can ALWAYS learn and grow as a person in many ways....and that you should never pass up the chance to do so in life. I know that there is so much that I have to learn as a writer, and a person...and I gladly welcome and accept any time that I can do so. Even though it may be the hardest challenge on here...and I have been here just about 7 months..I feel like that I will never know...or learn or grow, if I do not try. So I am planning on giving it my best and I am going to open up my mind to allow the words to flow..the ideas to form and my work to improve. I am looking forward to seeing how I do during this 30 day challenge and what I can come up with each day. So am I progressing? I am just starting this tomorrow so I cannot say that it or I am progressing in a way that I expected because it has not started....however, I CAN say that the fact that I am trying it and the learning and growing experience that it is...I already am progressing....because I am trying! I am ready to broaden my writing..and THAT is progression in itself!! Since I first started here in September up till now...I have seen the change and growth already that happens in each writing that I do....each step that I take is taken with learning and growth in some way or another and that is something that is truly a HUGE change and a new thing for me to accept...but I am starting (slowly) to be able to realize and see things in not JUST a bad way like I am conditioned and used to seeing them...I am seeing the GOOD things and seeing that I CAN accept them..I CAN believe them and I CAN make and have changes in my life that are GOOD....You hear things enough and are brainwashed enough, you believe what you are told...and I have always been told more bad then good so that is what is the overpowering belief in me...the bad....Now I am able to learn and see that there are good things that are said, that I CAN believe in....it is OKAY to believe in them...and it is an awesome feeling...NEW...but awesome!!

19) If you had to pick one: would you plant flowers or veggies/fruits?

Ha Ha.....Well since I am always honest and blunt..I will say that I am SOOOOOOO not a person who is into or even likes to plant anything! I DO NOT have a green thumb...in any way shape or form...I LOVE to have a pretty flower bed and all that landscaping crap...and I LOVE fresh fruit and veggies as well...But I HATE the actual process of planting, weeding, growing and all that fun stuff....I like the outdoors and all that...and I DO plant flowers in my flower beds and they look all pretty....weeding the flower bed gets very forgotten in my chaos called a mind....I will hop my butt on the rider and mow the grass....I will NOT do it with a push mower though because I am allergic to grass and especially fresh cut grass...it gets on my ankles and legs and it is instant hives and itching...maybe that is why I am not big on planting things and caring for them....Because the grass and sometimes even bushes and trees can cause me to swell up with hives and it sucks!!

I will say...that here lately I have been learning a lot about myself....and others...as well as growing in so many ways...so who knows...maybe this summer I will find that these things like planting a garden or flowers that normally would make me stressed out...are not as bad..maybe I will be able to see the relaxing part of it or maybe I will learn how to be better at keeping up on it since I am trying to stress less...who knows..we will see what happens I suppose LoL

18) What’s blooming in your life?

Another awesome and interesting prompt question......

What is blooming in my life...hmm..actually there is a LOT blooming right now.....
I am learning more and more about myself...I am growing in so many ways...I have doors that are opening for me that I believe are going to be life changing for me in many ways too. I have found hope and inspiration again...I see things in life that can be changed for the better...I have more drive and motivation....more acceptance and understanding of some things....I have the feeling that there are going to be several big things happening over the next few months...and for once I feel good about things and am ready to face whatever comes my way! I have, VERY recently for the first time in maybe my entire life, been able to actually feel good about myself about a few different things...I have been told by my 2 best friends that they wish that I could see me how others see me...I do not know if that will ever be fully possible...however I am starting to feel a little more confident about myself and my writing....being able to actually say something nice or good about myself is HUGE....

So I would say I have a whole garden of blooming going on in my life right now...and for once..I am not stressing things as much...I am seeing that things are starting to slowly fall into place....finally....a glimmer of hope!! Another first for me....is the feeling that everything is all going the way it is supposed too....which is a nice, but new feeling to accept...I think that perhaps, finally, things are going to start going good..and THAT is something I have been hoping to happen for a very long time...

17) If you have children, what’s your favorite thing to do with them? If you don’t, what’s your favorite thing to do with a sibling or friend?

I do have children...I have 3 actually. I have a daughter who is almost 19 years old, a son who is 15 years old and another daughter who is almost 13 years old.

My favorite thing to do with them has ALWAYS been sitting and talking to them...especially one on one time...and especially has they have all gotten older...I believe that it IS ok to be your childs friend as long as you are still a parent too.....so my kids and I have VERY open and honest relationships...they know that they can talk to me about ANYTHING and they do...

I have made sure...that even though my mental and physical issues HAVE been apparent while I have raised them....that they understood them and that there ARE things that I cannot control....and they have grown up with total acceptance of it all.

I have also made sure that no matter what else they have learned from me, no matter what I have taught them or instilled into them that I have raised them to be independent...I have allowed them to make their own decisions (within limitations)..I have let them become who THEY want to be...I have shown them that when they believe in something they need to stand up for it, even if they are standing alone...because in truth...they will never have to stand alone because no matter what I will always be by there side supporting them.

The most important thing that I have made sure that my kids know is this....there has never and will never ever be a time in their life where they will ever have to question if I love them or support them because they know that it does not matter what they do in life..even if I may not agree with it...I will still support them always and love them with all that I am....

I have made this such a important thing with them because I do not want them to have to feel or be like how I am....almost 38 years old and I KNOW my mom does not support anything in my life....and I also not only wonder if she loves me but I wonder is she ever has loved me like a true mother is supposed to love their child...I am told by her that "Technically I am her biological daughter"....to me that says she only considers me a daughter because in the sense that yes she gave birth to me...she is not very nice of a person and the way that she makes me feel is destructive to me....and I refuse to EVER make my kids have to feel or question this about me as I do about my biological mother...

And what is best..is that they DO know this...they see how my mom treats and talks to me and they hate it....it a way my mothers poor parenting has made me and my kids have a stronger and closer bond....Just as it should be!

16) Have you ever been stung by a bee or wasp (or bitten by any bug or spider)? What was your reaction.

Omg I am a huge animal lover...except for insects..bugs..spiders...

For some reason...I am an magnet for skeeters to feast on....funny story actually....Steve and I were in Louisiana and we wanted to sleep on the beach...all romantic and crap ya know...so it is a small town...VERY small town. So we have the beach to ourselves..set up a tent..had a few drinks...and well had a nice time lol...so I of course live off of carrying and constantly spraying OFF on myself when I am down there....well I was wearing a 2 piece bathing suit and we were about to lay down and listen to the ocean as we drifted off to sleep...I had to pee before I laid down so I went out of the tent and walked a few feet away to squat like a lady and piss outside lol...I had sprayed OFF on my all day so I thought no issues right....Nope I had NOT sprayed the skin UNDER my 2 piece so when I squatted my ass turned into a buffet for skeeters...and these are down south, toddler size, kick your ass skeeters...I got ATE up..omg...needless to say the drive home was a little uncomfortable with a ass full of skeeter bites and a 20 hour drive!!

I have been stung and bitten by damn near anything...I must be a tasty person LoL

Oh and how is my reactions....well um yea...ITCHY!!

15) What’s your favorite thing about Spring?

Spring...ahhh...I do believe that right now Mother Nature is drunk...the other day in one hours time we saw damn near all 4 seasons...it was cloudy then rain then sleet then hail and then snow...like wow really...lol...Indiana weather is always odd!

Spring to me is the sign of things to come...it means sunshine and warmth...it means that summer is close and that means kayaking time! I look forward to kayaking season all year and spring is like the pre-season sign! The green grass, trees, more sunshine and the animals all coming out of their winter slumber...I have a cardinal that has been faithfully coming to my feeder for the past week and it is nice to pass the feeder and see her there...like a hello to let me know...it is coming!!~

Spring is time to start outside clean up and preparations...getting the yard cleaned up and things moved and uncovered...table and chairs set out for outside relaxing...time to pop open the camper this weekend and get it opened up and ready for the summer...time to clean and spray paint the new outside table we have to brighten and freshen it up....time to get the fishing gear out and ready....I am hoping to be able to go fishing for the first time of the season this next week when my friend flies in for a week to visit...I love to fish and there are times where I will take off alone with just my dog and we will go fishing...calming and relaxing..and perfect.

So my favorite thing about spring..would have to be...all that it means to me!!

14) Do you reduce, reuse and recycle?

Hmmm.....We are, I guess basic recycle people...by that I mean we take our regular household trash to the dump...when we drank out of cans we did save them and take them in when we built enough up worth the trip....we do separate metal things that can be taken in to the scrap yard and once we get a load we will take it in....in a way it is more of a hassle then anything trying to find a spot to use as a metal pile while it builds to be big enough for a load....it is cluttering and frustrates me but we try to do it anyway lol....we will gather a truck load of brush and tree limbs and take it in to the mulching center for them to have to use....

We try to watch the electric by keeping up on only using the lights or things we need and turning off the rest...we try to keep the heat set on a lower temp and only make it higher when we want it warmer..then back to the lower temp...We have to use window air conditioners in summer...we have old windows and a lot of them have no screens so that is going to be a project for the love to do soon so that we can open the windows more and use less energy when possible. With having a dog and 4 cats, window screens are a must have...Steve is big on reusing things...instead of throwing something out he will either work on it and make it function again or he will find another purpose for it.

So I guess that we do what we can and are able to in our own ways to reduce, reuse and recycle...which is pretty cool.....Steve has taught me a lot more about doing these things...Before I met him, if my alarm clock or radio would have stopped working I would have just tossed it...now if that was to happen, I would see if he can fix it and then if not, it would go into the scrap pile. Sounds small but I have learned a lot from him on these things...kinda taught me to think more about other solutions rather then just tossing something broken....rather cool if ya ask me!~

13) What’s something you’d like to renew in your life?

Interesting question....as usual I am sure that my answer will be even more interesting Ha Ha!!~

I would like to renew several things in my life actually...I would like to renew hope and faith...strength and patience....happiness and understanding....acceptance and self esteem....belief in myself and the ability to control the chaos in my head....

I wish that I could renew my memory so that I could remember the first 8-10 years of my life....to be able to have closure on that chapter by learning the things that I need and want to know and remember...to be able to accept whatever it is that happened in my life that caused me to NOT be able to remember those important years....To be able to find, heal, guide and release the inner child in me that is held hostage by the chains that are keeping her down and the demons that have become her friends....

Renew myself....I believe that I need to be cleansed of the past and negative things that weigh me down so that I can be...almost reborn..fresh..unharmed...undamaged and ready to live life for me and mine and NOBODY else.....I need to (as BOTH of my best friends have said to me in the past month) learn to see myself the way that others see me....Hmmmm...I am learning and growing each day...perhaps this is not as unreachable as it first seemed to be...interesting......doors are opening....doors that lead me to things that are life changing and instead of being too afraid of checking out what it holds for me..I am eager to see how this next part of my journey goes and where it leads me next....I am renewed and ready for whatever!!
