Well, personally I found this a bit difficult to understand its meaning in its entirety. I get the treehouse part but the youth and age part.. I'm pondering.


I like the way your imagination sways.. a treehouse, huh!! Sounds nice but there's a lot more you want to convey, I know, but I'm finding it hard to get by.

I like the thought. It talks to me of imperfections and their humane nature.. they always will stay, as you say.

I would love it if you can enlighten me on your thoughts behind the poem.

I have always found a double acrostic to be very difficult and never tried my hand at it.

And reading yours makes me strengthen my resolution, lol! *Bigsmile*. I can never come up with something like that. It's awesome!

Your poem not only resorts to the form, it does so with seemingly effortlessness. What a joy to read.

You have managed to drive across the point even while giving in to the hard rules of the poetic form.

A vivid picture is painted wherein I see the marks on the path, and feel the breath of chi. I am the passerby, I feel.

I loved the Triolet, again this is the first time I have come across this poetic form.

It gives away one's feelings so naturally yet with an amazing intensity. In just a few words, it expresses all there is to be expressed.

I like the innovative "roadmap"..wow, what a word to use..

Also, the concept of "'roving' fingers" appeals to me... it somehow sounds poetic in itself.

The fifth line says it all..about one's life with the beloved..so perfect.

And the sixth line is so true, it talks about unconditional love, as I see it.

First Impressions:

What a lovely poem.

What does the title mean??


What I liked about the poem:

The heartfelt feelings.

The difficult prompt and the wonderful job you did with it.

The lines:

"Swirled like snowflakes in the perpetual winter of my life."
Love the powerful imagery...the word "swirled" brings about the perfect effect.


"away from Winter’s cold grasp
I reveled in the warmth of my first Spring."

So amazing, beautiful... I adore it when nature is compared to feelings. It seems so apt, so real.


"Your Love
carried on lavender-scented air
with a hint of wild thyme and the sea"

What a lovely smell it brings to my senses..just reading about it.. mmmmm....


"In your presence
I grew Whole again."

So meaningful, so overpowering...a relief..
