I felt as if you had introduced me to your Dad. I could see and feel the excitement of believing ice cream was cooking in the kitchen, but for me it seemed a bit weird. I'm an adult so didn't take the bate. As a child I probably have rushed downstairs too. Through your words the love exuded and wrapped around me as I followed your poem story.

It is sad when children are disappointed because something advertised to do something doesn't and the child is disappointed. I enjoyed the part when your son pulled a April prank but you knew the milk was ok. I'm glad the sad emotions were wiped and uplifting emotions replaced them. I was able to imagine the story, characters, and feel the happiness and sadness in your words.

I saw in my imagination you with your parents and your Grand-parent as you witnessed them becoming April-fools. I know that until much later in life children do not understand why parents and other elders do what they do to make our lives happy and better. I saw the transcending from being a child and thinking like a child to adulthood, but as an adult you also considered the child thinking. It's nice to visualize you making children happy by pretending to be foolish. I agree it's sad when you can not give an answer to a child. All the stanzas were bolded, was this on purpose?

I very much enjoyed your story because you introduced me to characters who acted normally during trying situations. The scenes are realistic and I could imagine the characters acting well and doing the natural things required. The conversations are natural and as if the characters were talking to me. The story plot is believable and easy to imagine. I didn't find any major issues with the manuscript. I believe there are a few typos, but read past them quickly because I wanted to know what happened next.

This story of family relations is realistic because sometimes families or some members tend to want the inheritance without having any concern for the family members. Your story about a last-minute effort to get this inheritance shows characters at their best or worst depending on the point of view. I really enjoyed the ending because neither party got what they thought they would. The Uncle and Aunt thought they had thwarted
Sam Adams and his wife Maria Lee just before they died, but i suspect the lockbox would eventually be opened with great effort.
Sam Adams and his wife Maria Lee probably figure there is a lot of valuable stuff in the box, but my guess is they will be disappointed.

Hmm, your poem is a challenge and requires of me several readings, but I think I got it. The person is enjoying Turkish coffee and someone is talking to them, is this the scene? Or, The person is Turkish? I could visualize someone drinking coffee while another person was talking with them.

As I read this story I could imagine the police investigating the crime scene. The story is believable because there have been other similar stories of people finding fortune, taking trips, and having various personal reasons for doing this. I am positive as much as I am able because it is better than being miserable. I get it! It's tough in this world, but there is hope. I could feel your pain. I could see your struggle. I may not reply quickly at times because I have physical challenges. The weather affects me also and slows down my progress.
