Clues to Existence

René Descartes once said,
“I think, therefore I am.”
Now quiet as a clam,
no thinking from the dead.

Some say that, if we be,
the result is we do,
or to do is to be,
or do be do be do.

Also, if you ask me,
and to answer I’m free,
I would like to please you
but I haven’t a clue.
