Day 1

I savor the taste
of morning's first cup of joe
bold aromatic java.

Day 2

Tranquility dawns
Long Healing Prayer intoned
in the day's first light.

Day 3

Morning clouds gather
reveals patchwork of blue sky:
Will it rain today?

Day 4

Walking difficult!
Is it the weight I carry
or osteoarthritis?

Day 5

Coffee cup in hand,
I stand at the open door
sipping and watching.

Day 6

God is the poet
writing stanza and line
on His lovers' souls.

Day 7

The dusk holds secrets
the children of light must find
in meditation.
