Three days ago I went to market,
the car forgotten where I’d parked it,
but in the store I walked the aisles
for days on end - it stretched for miles.

And now I’m lost, can’t find the till,
of shopping I have had my fill -
abandoned now the things I’ve bought,
an exit’s what I’ve chased and sought.
