April 29 - MUD!

MUD!
Wonderful MUD!
Gruddy and gloppy
So fabulously sloppy!
Smeared from ear to ear
We cover our bodies 'til nothing can appear
We are transformed....
Into the little savages
Our mothers will call us.
We run, shrieking with laughter
Like banshees caught up in sheer fun
Mud dries and cakes
Flaking off in chunks
Leaving us looking like our skin is falling off
By the time we are captured
We are merely grins
Our eyes and teeth bright
against a background of
MUD!
Wonderful MUD!
