| PROMPT May 11th Look at a picture from your younger years. You don’t have to share the photo with us, but try to describe it in as much detail as possible. What led up to the photo being taken and what happened after? This is a picture of me, I was 27 years old. I’m standing at the railway station waiting to catch the train to London. It is 1972 I’m wearing a very short dress and a black leather coat. I’m holding the hand of my three year old daughter and telling her we are going on a big adventure. My parents are taking the photo and saying goodbye to their only daughter and grandchild as we leave our home to fly to Australia. I don’t look in the least concerned which astounds me now when I think of the huge undertaking we were about to embark upon. It would be at least three years before I saw my parents again and that is when they visited us in our new country. |
