Wonderful poem that links footprints to bits and pieces of our memories over the years.
As we get older, we do leave a mark behind - footprints if you will - and even as they fade away, they'll always linger and be a reminder of what we once were.

Shrunken head kept in a jar
a story that my mind doth mar
the image will not let me go
such gruesome things within us grow
and if I read such darkened tales
I feel my soul doth shrink and fail
perhaps I should horror eschew
and ne’er again the like review.
