Michael decided to stick to what was probably the core of the game for the first play through at least. "You won't get away with this! I'll find a way to change back and defeat you!"
"Brave words, as expected of a prince," Lord Cirrak replied. "Yet let's see how long you can keep that up as you succumb to your new body. Feel free to explore it to your hearts content, Princess." With that the villainous lord left the room, the door clearly locking behind him.
As soon as he was alone, Michael began to search the room. There was a book on a desk next to the bed. Michael went to check it and as he did the room seemed to dim slightly and a menu popped up giving him the option to save or load a file. He picked save, and saved the game to slot two, leaving the previous autosave in slot one. He closed the save menu and the world returned to normal.
Michael then wondered if he could save the game some other way. "Menu." As he spoke the command, the room again dimmed and the game's main menu popped up. It all seemed fairly normal, items, outfit, status, quests, achievements, and exit. Apparently the game can't just be saved anywhere, which explained the autosave before a potential branch. Michael pointed at items, which opened an empty inventory. Flicking his finger, he returned to the main menu and then pointed to outfit which simply listed Princess gown. Michael then went back and checked status. This screen listed the stats from earlier, but had some bars on the bottom, Femininity and Acceptance. Most likely keeping these low would make it more likely to get an end where his character was able to change back. He then checked quests, and as expected the main quest was titled "Escape the castle," which had two sub quests listed, "change back" and "defeat Lord Cirrak." Below that were other quests, six of which read "Rescue ???" some of which had subquests which were simply labeled "???" Below those were several other quests simply listed as "???" Michael then checked the achievements and found the second one down already filled in, "Defy Lord Cirrak" with the rest all reading "???" There seemed to be quite a bit to do in this game beyond simply escaping the castle. Still he wasn't sure if he wanted to play right now. Maybe this would be a good time to jot down some first impressions before getting into the game itself and possibly forgetting them?
