Amy tilted her head thoughtfully, then snapped her fingers. "How about we watch a movie?"
Cameron shrugged. "Yeah, sounds good to me. What do you have?"
Amy grinned and gestured toward the living room. "Come on, let’s check out what we’ve got."
Cam followed her into the cozy room, taking a seat on the couch as Amy kneeled in front of the TV stand, rifling through a collection of DVDs and Blu-Rays. She hummed to herself as she sorted through them, occasionally pulling one out and examining the cover.
"Okay, so we’ve got some action movies, a few comedies, and some horror stuff," she listed off. "Anything catch your interest?"
Cam leaned forward, peering at the stack of cases she set aside. "I’m cool with action or horror."
Amy smirked. "Feeling brave, huh? I’ve got a couple of good horror flicks. Some classics, some newer stuff. How about this one?" She held up a case featuring eerie cover art with dark shadows and a sinister-looking figure in the background.
Cameron examined the title and nodded. "Yeah, that looks cool. Let’s do it."
Amy popped the disc into the player and grabbed the remote before hopping onto the couch beside him. As the movie started, she grabbed a throw blanket and tossed half of it over Cameron. "Hope you don’t scare easy, Cam."
He chuckled, shaking his head. "I’ll be fine. Just don’t jump and spill popcorn on me."
Amy rolled her eyes playfully as she hit play, the screen darkening as the eerie opening credits began to roll. The room settled into a comfortable silence as they both focused on the film.
As the tension built on-screen, both Cameron and Amy leaned forward, eyes glued to the screen. The eerie silence stretched, then—BAM! A sudden jump scare erupted from the speakers, making them both jolt in shock.
Cameron yelped, jerking his arm, while Amy gasped and flinched. In that split second, both of them lost grip of their drinks. Amy’s juice splashed right onto Cameron’s lap, while his soda darkened his shirt and jeans. The cold sensation made him shudder.
"Oh, crap!" Amy squeaked, lifting her arms in horror. "That was a bad idea!"
Cameron groaned, looking down at the damp mess covering his clothes. "Great. Now I’m soaked in juice and soda."
Amy grabbed a handful of napkins, trying to dab him dry. "Ugh, this is bad. You’re totally drenched."
She paused, then smirked slightly. "You know… I think I have something that’ll fit you."
Cameron narrowed his eyes. "Amy…"
"What? You can’t sit around in wet clothes. Just borrow something of mine. No big deal."
Cameron hesitated, but the discomfort of his soaked jeans and shirt made the decision for him. "Fine. But nothing too ridiculous."
Amy giggled as she stood. "No promises! Come on, let’s find you something nice."
As they headed toward Amy’s room, Cameron had a sinking feeling that his choice of outfit for the night was about to take an unexpected turn.
Amy flung open her closet and rummaged through her clothes before turning to Cameron with a triumphant grin. "Okay, here you go!"
