This choice: Lucy's records in her dreams sleep-talking #1 • Go Back...Chapter #7Lucy's records in her dreams sleep-talking #1 by: LeFrenchFox Like with quite a good number of nights, and more often than she would admitted herself, Lucy's thoughts that night were for her bestfriend, and secret crush, Angie.
Why was her little friend so anxious about school earlier?
Well, yes, okay... She knew why. For someone like Angie, a good little model student, always trying her best at school, always reaching for the best grades (which she always did in the end...) and always stressed of missing school, failing classes and of... everything basically... sure being awake at 2:00 A.M, particularly before a school day was something "crazy" and not right.
What Lucy didn't always understood was "why?"...
Angie was among the best 3 students at school, if not the best in fact, the goth girl didn't know, but she could guess that. Her little 5'0 skinny brunette friend would get straight A grades after A grades in nearly everything but Sport... And yet, she was still that little insecure ball of nerves always worried of failing.
Meanwhile Lucy, while not being a bad student, was pretty average.
And she was fine with that. The goth girl knew school wasn't everything and the world wouldn't collapse if she failed one class or another...
She often tried to remind her little brunette bestfriend of that, to help her relax ... to help her put things into perspective... to de-stress. But with little to no effect, to her great dismay.
In her dreams, Lucy, concerned, was being reminded of her friend's own worries of not being sleeping as she phoned her.
Angie was just too worried, too innocent and too serious...
It added to the cuteness she loved so much in her bestfriend and secret crush, but still...
Sometimes she hoped the brunette would opened up, stop being insecured, stress and afraid of everything, and just enjoy Life...
If only she could be stronger...

"Angie, why are you always afraid of everything?!", was asking Lucy to her friend as the 2 of them were in the alchemist's workshop. It was as much of a question as a complain.
A bunny-hoping man-size rabbit with a tuxedo friendly waved at her at it crossed the little workshop to exit it. Sir Cottontail was a regular guest in many Lucy's most fantasist dreams. There might have been a symbolism to it, but if so, none that she knew.
"I'm not afraid of everything. But we should already be back to the Queen's castle!", argued Angie, clothed with what seemed to be a priest / white mage dress... Yep, a goody healer... That suited her well. As for Lucy herself, she was wearing a plate armor, quite expected.
"Night is falling and I'm concerned there are now orcs and trolls closing off our road back home."
"Concerned... You should really trust yourself more, Angie. These monsters are no match for you and me!", the goth warrior tried to reassure her friend and teammate of their holy adventures.
Angie just replied with a sigh... and a brief worry look at the sunset through the workshop's entrance window. Lucy caught that.
"But that's why we're here Angie! I know something that will definitively help you gain some trust and confidence in our mission!"
Enthusiast, the black haired girl picked up a large magical vial on one of the numerous alchemist' shelves. It wasn't the first time the Queen's warrior Lucy McMillan roamed the dusty aisle of the small workshop. Hence why the alchemist, an old half-elf friend of Lucy, wasn't paying much attention to their shenanigans.
"What is it?", asked Angie as Lucy handed her the potion, made of cristal, and containing a flashy pink liquid.
"It's a potion of... endurance", said Lucy, "It will help you... and I, on her travel back!"
"You payed that 200 of our gold! Was it really needed?", asked mistrustful Angie.
"Are you really worried about the orcs on our way back?...", asked Lucy, knowing the answer, that Angie wasn't giving.
"Then, THIS is your solution." said Lucy, she handed the potion insistently. "Just drink it and we'll be ready to slay any bad guy out there. It will buff you!"
The 5'0 pale priest sighed.
"Well, OK. If you say so! I trust you"
Before popping up the vial's cap.
"What would I do without you, teammate." Angie said before swallowing the entire content of the potion. "I'm happy to have you here, Lucy."

"I'm happy... You're here with me too, Angie...", mumbled the sleeping goth girl in her bed as she inconsciously moved under her sheets.
A little aery sound near Lucy's bed broke the silence of the night and suddenly... popping out of nowhere, standing before the sleeping girl's bed, a totally confused little Angie in her little pinky pyjamas.
"What the hell?!", shouted, distressed, the 5'0 skinny brunette from her little voice. Not enough to wake up Lucy from her deep sleep. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
