Chapter #36

You are met by two 'Sandras'.

Just you and James came to Sandra's house, a strange sight came out through the door. Said sight consisted of what looked like two different Sandras - one had Sandra's body but had a Cocker Spaniel's head, the other had Sandra's head but had the facial forms and body of a Corgi. The head of the first Sandra reminded you of her family's Cocker Spaniel Alanna, and the body of the second Sandra reminded you of their Corgi Sammy - but if Sandra had split into these two beings, what had Alanna and Sammy become?

James was confused. Bruce had split only two humans and had not been by this house at all.

"Sandra?" James asked. The dog-bodied human-headed Sandra did not say anything to him, but the human-bodied dog-headed Sandra did.

"Hi there, James," she said, "fancy meeting you and Chief while I'm on my walk with Aria."

"Well, which of you is the original Sandra?" James wanted to ask, but this would have sounded strange, so what came out of his mouth was:

"Oh yeah, what a coincidence."

Not long afterwards, Aria - the dog-bodied Sandra - barked in greeting at you. You barked back at her in the same way.

"Chief and Aria sure seem friendly with each other," James said, continuing to sound as normal as possible. "I think they might be in love in each other actually."

"Just like us," Sandra replied.

"How is Alanna doing?" James asked, wanting to know what was going on with the family's pets.

"Alanna's been preparing for her date night with Frankie all week," Sandra said, "For now, she helped out at mom's veterinary practice with Sammy."

This answered some questions, but raised a few more. Who was this Frankie? If she was referring to their friend Candace's Golden Retriever, what had become of Candace?
