A great flash of light erupted from the stone and enveloped both Serena and Fennekin in it's rays, the forest was illuminated in the purple light but then it faded, after the glow subsided Serena, Fennekin and the stone was nowhere to be seen.
Thinking it was over Serena slowly opened her eyes. "What in the world was that." The blonde trainer said looking at the purple crystalline stone in her hand. "Fennekin, Fenn Fennekin!" Fennekin cried as she frantically ran her small paws across her trainer's leg trying to get her attention. "What is it Fennekin?" Serena said looking down at her pokemon partner, then she quickly took notice of their surroundings.
Instead of being surrounded by trees and shrubbery of the forest Serena and Fennekin where instead in a strange barren terrain with rock formations, the ground itself was light purple in color, the sky was an anesthetic space like void that was purplish in coloration as well.
"Oh my gosh!" Serena said as she quickly scooped up Fennekin and stood straight up, everywhere she looked she didn't see any familiar traces of Kalos, just the strange otherworldly landscape. "Where the heck are we!?"
Many thoughts ran through Serena's mind of how she and her pokemon ended up in this new world, then it came to her, the strange stone they found must of brought them here, looking down she noticed she still had the stone in her hand.
"The stone, it must of brought us to this weird place." Serena said as she store at the offending item in her hand. "Fennekin, Fennekin, Fenn Fennekin." The fox pokemon said in agreement. "Well." Serena continued."if it brought us here it can take us back."
She then began to shake the stone, trying to activate it so it can send both her and Fennekin back home. "Come you stupid thing!" The blonde girl said as she kept shaking the round stone. "Take me Fennekin back home so I can see Ash!" She shook it a few more times before giving up.
"Oh it's no use." Serena said as she glared annoyingly at the crystalline stone in her hand. "This stupid stone won't do a thing!" Fennekin looked at
her frustrated trainer then to the stone, a thought came to her. "Fenn Fennekin." The fox pokemon said gaining her trainer's attention. "What is it Fennekin?" Serena asked. "Fenn Fennekin Fenn Fennekin." Fennekin said pointing at herself then to the stone. Serena was confused at first before releasing what Fennekin wanted.
"You want to give it a try?" Asked Serena. "Fenn." Fennekin nodded. The trainer thought about for a moment, if the stone won't work for a human then maybe a pokemon will have better luck with it, with that in mind she decided give Fennekin a shot at it.
"Okay Fennekin." Serena said as she brought the stone towards the fox pokemon. "You give it a try, maybe you'll have more luck with it then me." Fennekin nodded before moving closer the stone and placing her paws on it. At first nothing happened then the stone began glowing just as it did before. "Fennekin it's working!" Serena said excitingly."it's really working, we'll be home before we know and I'll be able to see Ash!"
