Chapter #6Lunch with Ann by: Frost The buffet at the Wilton was packed with people, most of whom looking down on the pair of teenagers. They didn't care however. The food served was more than worth the snide looks and the 8000 yen price tag. The two were more than happy to eat their money's worth.
"Do you eat anything other than cake?" Akira teased before handing a piece of fatty tuna to Morgana.
"Shuddup," Ann shot back, her mouth full of cake. "We rarely eath 'ere."
Morgona mewed. "If we ate here more, our entire budget would be gone." He looked down at his plate. "Speaking of gone, I'm all out of fish. Come on, Akira, let's get some more!"
"I'm still eating," he shot back, focused on his own plate.
Ann giggled. "I'm low on cake. I'll take Morgana with me." She stood up from the plush couch and slung Morgana's bag of her shoulder.
"Thank you, Lady Ann. I can always count on you to do the right thing."
The two walked away, leaving Akira alone with his food. He dug into his meal, a modest serving of rice and beef. Now that Morgana went off with Ann, he didn't have to worry about the cat nagging him for more food. He could finally eat in peace.
Or so he thought.
He fell face first into his food and passed out. Interestingly enough, the stuffy customers were too busy with their own matters to notice Akira.
Akira woke up not too long after. He brought his hand to his forehead in an attempt to stop the growing headache.
He looked around and found the landscape to be completely alien. On the ground, human sized white capsules surrounded him. In the distance was a dark brown hill with a rough looking texture. Just exactly where was he?
Then came the earthquakes.
The grounds shook and rumbled, which caused Akira to lose his balance. He fell on one knee as he looked skywards, only to be shaken to the core by what he saw.
His friend Ann had taken a seat in front of him, except she seemed impossibly massive. His stomach dropped at the realization that she was carrying a plate with cakes the size of buildings. Startled, he inspected the area around him. The large capsules were grains of rice, and the mountain in the distance was a cut of beef. Piecing things together, he must have been no bigger than a single grain of rice.
Things could quickly go south if he didn't act fast.
Ann looked down at the abandoned plate. "Huh," she hummed. "Did Akira leave?"
Morgana, who was pawing at a piece of sushi, only shrugged. "I dunno."
She bit her lip, her gaze focused on the plate for some reason. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
