Cinderace finds it hard to decide what to do with you. She’s watched you from the forest for a while, and she’s been very impressed with your skills kicking that ball around, so she always wanted to befriend you and get to know you better. But she doesn’t want to force you to be with her. At the same time, she also doesn’t want you to grow back to normal size. You look so adorable when you’re tiny, and it makes you so special and unique. Plus, she thinks it would be fun to play with a small human.
She finally makes up her mind: she decides to try and convince you to stay at this size—at least for a little bit. Hopefully, you’ll realize you enjoy it, and you’ll agree to stay with her and never grow back to normal.
With a slight blush on her cheeks, Cinderace gently wraps a paw around you and lifts you away from her chest, holding you in front of her face.
“D-do you... really need to get back to normal?” she asks you.
“What?” you ask, surprised. “Of course I do!”
“You sure? Don’t you wanna try... y’know, being tiny for a bit, just to see what it’s like? Maybe you’ll like being small, and hanging out with me.”
“No, I’m pretty sure I’d prefer being normal-sized,” you say with a frown. “And there are things I need to do, too. I have to go to school, I’ve got to play on my soccer team, I have to practice soccer... and my family’s going to be really worried about me if I’m away for too long!”
“But you’ll be totally safe with me! They don’t have to worry about a thing.”
“They have no idea where I am, or what happened to me, though! I need to get back to normal so I can go back to them and get back to my life!”
Cinderace bites her lip with her buck teeth, and her orange eyes look away from you. She’s clearly conflicted about something. You can guess what she’s thinking. She wants you to stay tiny for some reason, and she’s likely wondering whether to keep pushing the issue. In the end, she does.
“So, about school and soccer,” she says. “What are those? I haven’t heard of them.”
“They’re human things. School is when you learn stuff, and soccer is that game where you kick the ball around.”
“Do you like them?”
“Well, school kinda sucks, but soccer is fun.”
“So you’d like it if you could get out of school?”
“Yeah—wait, I know what you’re going to say.”
Cinderace nods rapidly, and her grip on you tightens slightly. She’s getting excited. “If you stay tiny and come live with me,” she says, “you can get out of school, and you’ll enjoy that. And soccer—I’ve never played it, but I’m great at kicking things. I can help you practice! And you can teach me how to play soccer, so we can play together! Maybe we can even get some other Pokemon to play with us, too. Like I said, we can have so much fun together!”
“That... doesn’t sound too bad,” you admit. “I mean, even if I’m stuck at this size, it’ll be fun to get out of school and play games with a Pokemon for a while. And it’s kind of neat to be small like this.”
“See? It’s a great idea!”
“But... I can’t just leave my family. Can you at least bring me to my home so I can talk with them about this?”
Cinderace gulps. If she does that, your family will definitely take you away from her. She can’t let that happen. And there’s another problem.
“You live in that town, right?” she asks you.
“Yeah,” you reply.
“Okay, that’s a problem. I can’t go into a human town—someone’s definitely gonna catch me. Or someone might steal you from me. I’ll never hurt you, but other people and Pokemon... well, I don’t trust them. It’s just too dangerous for me to try and take you to your home.”
You’re upset at this, and the rabbit’s ears droop as she notices you glaring at her.
“But I’ll make a deal,” she says quickly. “If you stay with me for a while, and give your new size a chance, then I’ll take you back home, okay? Even if it’s risky, I’ll do it for you. But you’ve gotta spend some time with me first. You can be away from your family for a little bit, right?”
You’re about to argue. But as you think about it, you start to reconsider. Sure, disappearing for a while will cause your family to worry about you a lot. But as soon as you return to them and they see you’re safe, it’ll all be okay...
...will it? They might get mad at you for running off without telling them, and they’ll probably get angry at Cinderace for taking you away. She seems like a nice Pokemon, so you don’t want her to get in trouble. It may be better to put your foot down and demand to see your family before anything else, even if it’s risky for the Pokemon to go to the town.
You have to make a decision. Cinderace holds you in front of her face and waits for you to make up your mind, but you notice she’s fidgeting, anxious to hear your reply.
What do you want to do?
