The opportunity was too good to pass up. To be a mother again... The need to feel loved and cherished again.
"I'm sorry... There's nothing in here."
Your heart dropped to the ground. "W-what? Check again! There has to be something!"
"I did. Front and back. There's nothing mentioning of shrinking. Or fixing it." She said closing the book. "I'm sorry.'
You sink down to your knees. There was nothing that could be done. You were stuck at this size forever with no way to change it. And stuck in some mystery world with no help whatsoever. You were barely able to keep it together, but the need to break down is strong.
"There's no need to sulk." Frya said quickly and moving to you. "You can stay with me. Even though there's no way to reverse this, I'll take care of you. I promise I'll make it to were nothing in your life has change."
You look up at the smiling woman and her words do seems nice. And considering she's the only one you've meet and at least gave it a shot, it might be the best option for you.
"I... I guess I don't have much of a choice. Better to stay than risk dying in the forest." You said.
Freya gently grabs you and embraces you. Despite the chill of the forest and the cabin, she was surprisingly warm. An addition that made you melt in her hold.
"There, there. You don't have to worry anymore. Just let me take care of all your needs." Freya whispered to you.
This is for the best. That was her reason. Even if you were cured, you'd be lost in the forest. A lot of evil creatures are in the forest and you have no chance against them.
It's for the best for both you if you'd stayed. You'd get love, comfort, and everything else. She'd get to feel the joy of a mother again. This time... She'd do everything right.
"Now, is there anything you need? Or want?" She asked pulling you back.
"W-well... I'm not use to the chill of the forest or your abode, nothing personally, but is there something in that book for warmth?"
Freya immediately went over to her cauldron, and using her prior knowledge, started to make a potion for you. It took quite a while as you were slightly intrigued in her work as she threw various things into the cauldron and saw the color changed to a bright orange.
But once it was done, she came over to you with the spoon and kneels down to you.
"Here. One sip of this will help."
You sip what you could and immediately, you felt an enveloping warmth in your body. You let out a delighted sigh as the warmth courses through your body.
"Thanks... Uh... I never caught your name."
"It's Freya."
"Thanks, Freya."
Freya smiled as she was slowly feeling like a mother again. It's been so long since she's felt like that. She's not going to waste the second chance she's been given. And with you now feeling warm, Freya now wanted to...
