Even though he was practically almost as big as an actual spider, there was good news to be found for Miles. He was in a room that clearly belonged to Gwen thanks to the drum set nearby, posters of bands he didn’t recognize, and the typical arrangement of clothing items that indicated a slightly messy room. At least the watch worked on that part, even if he had to worry about a lot of stuff now.
“She’s not here.” Miles guessed after noticing the lack of noise aside from the open window. “Guess I should get to higher ground before she comes back. I don’t want to end up squashed.” He looked to the drum kit thinking it was good to climb that up to wait things out. But just then, the owner of the room had arrived.
Spider-Woman swooped into the room through the window, her bright blue ballerina shoes landing on the ground. Miles had to leap to the left to avoid getting crushed underneath them. He didn’t mean to look up, but he could barely see Gwen’s face from above. She was practically twice as tall as the Statue of Liberty and the skyscrapers he swung across back home.
“Man, she’s really big.” Spider-Man stood his ground while the giant Spider-Woman turned to close the window, then backed away with her shoulders dropping. It was clear she was exhausted, the heavy breathing she did was no doubt because of how much she did to keep New York safe.
“Just one day without some sort of crime spree, that’s all I ask.” Gwen pulled off her mask and hood, freeing her short blonde hair while she rubbed her eyes. Her eyes scanned towards her bed that was begging for her attention, but also the drum set that she hadn’t touched in some time.
The tiny Miles cautiously took some steps forward, wondering what his best option was. If Gwen were to suddenly drop down on her bed, he can just swing up towards her and get to her ear, then she could help her out. Though he wasn’t sure if she was a heavy sleeper, but he had to at least try that.
He could also just swing up to her, use his webs to propel her upwards until he was close to her face. It sounded risky but he had to at least try that just before she did something else.
Then there was option three: the drum kit. He could just swing up the musical instrument and try to hit the cymbal really hard so that it could cause a reaction. She’ll likely investigate and spot him there. Though he’ll have to get creative if jumping up and down on that thing wasn’t gonna work like he imagined.
He had time to choose, so what was Miles gonna pick?
1. Gwen is too exhausted so she collapses on the bed. Will Miles be able to get her attention by climbing up to her, or will there be issues in his attempts to make contact?
2. Though it looked to be a bad idea, Miles begins to launch himself towards Gwen, trying to get higher and higher so he can get her attention. But will she end up doing something that’ll hinder his plan?
3. Miles climbs up the drum kit, thinking of a good plan to make some noise on it when Gwen decides to take the edge off by playing the drums.
