Amy feels the tingle, then is a little freaked out as her body seems to be dissolving, which means the seagull is dissolving. But not turning back into her:: no it's body is just fading into nothingness. But then Amy blinks and looks, seeing Genie in her harem dancer attire but she looks different. She is pale, actually see through, like barely an after image of herself, and when Amy points at her, she stops, because her arm is the exact same way. "EEP! We're ghosts!"
Genie smiles and shakes her head "No, we aren't dead, but the ghost idea isn't too far wrong. We have no physical form, we can't be seen, heard, felt or sensed in any way. We also can't touch things, but can move through them. We can check out his house and see what is going on, if that is what you want to do Amy" Amy considers and just because she is trying to get a sense of this, she walks through a tree, then giggles "Ok, trippy, but um, we came this far, so yeah" and without even realizing it, she starts to float toward his house, giggling. "Ok, freaked me out at first, but this is actually kinda fun, hehe. Gawd, I hope he isn't showering or something" Genie chuckles "Or do you secretly hope he is?" winks and laughs as they come up to the house.
Moving inside, the ground floor is a mudroom, with utility sink, cabinets with wetsuits and rash guards and other outdoor clothes. There is a stacked washer and dryer, and then separate drying rack, which Amy realizes is for wetsuits, since they can't be washed the normal way. There is a ladder in the corner and Amy goes toward it, but pauses when Genie simply raises up through the ceiling. She concentrates and does so too. However, Genie comes up in the kitche, while Amy comes up in the bathroom, and in particular, the shower, with Dan, who is naked and washing himself. She screams and jumps, and he.....doesn't react at all. Blushing she floats out, though she did sneak a peak and liked what she saw. Going to the main room, Genie is there, holding back a giggle. Amy sighs "Well, I got a look accidentally, go ahead girl, the view ain't bad" winks. And genie floats through the wall and back. "Not bad at all, but why does he have such a nice house in a state park? How can we find out more?"
They both float around the house checking it out. There is the bathroom, then a main room with kitchen and sitting area, a desk with a computer, and then another room, the bedroom, all of which have windowed walls to the island, with only the bathroom really lacking that. While they are snooping around, Dan comes out, naked and while Amy is startled, Genie comes over "He's alone, no one else out here, so suppose it makes sense he doesn't care" but he goes to the bedroom, not shutting the door, but clearly going to sleep.
Amy floats crosslegged in the living room "So, he's all alone out here, appears to have a house that looks rich but no car, heck, not even really any nice clothes, mainly just wetsuits and swimsuits in his closet, what's his story?" Genie agrees and is confused, but then notices Amy brightens as she floats over to his desk, where a computer is asleep. "Ok, if we can get into his computer, we should be able to find out everything we need, but have to be able to touch it to get into...wait, what the, ooopp!"
Amy cuts off, because suddenly she felt an odd sensation, and was pulled into the computer screen. And then she is looking out at the room and a smiling ghostly Genie "Ok mistress, you are in there, now what?" Blinking, confused for a moment, then she realizes that Genie did it, she got Amy into the computer, but PHYSICALLY put her inside Dan's computer. "This isn't what I meant Genie, but um, ok, let me see here. Wow, ok, so you like just reduced me to data and lines of code in his computer? Gawd, he better not have OnlyFans...I do NOT want that data mixing with me!" Genie is confused, then chuckles "Oh, I understand and yes, that would be awkward to encounter in there, but see what you can find Amy. You understand computers better than I, so if you focus and will it, you will be able to do anything from in there"
Amy gets to it, and while she is initially worried she found something unpleasant, it turns out to be an OS based off Cortana from the video games, who is, on Dan's computer, a virtual assistant who manages all his files. Amy pauses and then thinks to Genie "He has a virtual assistant Cortan who manages all his files...can, well, this is weird, can you write me into her, so I become her? Easiest way to get acc...oop"
And suddenly she IS Cortana, a blue hued woman, but digital, and linked throughout Dan's systems, even running his smart home appliances. Her eyes flutter as she completes writing into the OS and then smiling, as she has access to all his files. Just then:
