This choice: I wish to be able to turn into ANYthing at all, even nonphysical forms and ideas • Go Back...Chapter #10I wish to be able to turn into ANYthing at all by: DougTF   Dani considers it, and true, she had been thinking along these lines ever since she...well, he as Dan, realized the genie was real. And of course she went from Dan to tiny to now Danielle, and redid reality to accept this as her, in place of his life as Dan. So she knows this magic of Genie's can do anything, but does she really want to go there? Looking into Genie's eyes, Dani realizes her trepidation about the wish, about what she...no, about what Dan had long thought of, that trepidation is invalid. It's a concern founded in a misconception, one made wholly irrelevant by Genie and the scope of her magic. And what Genie just said, her long explanation about who Dani is, who Dan is, how different they are from every master she ever had. All of it means that not only is the wish possible, but in some ways, it's necessary.
She finishes the wine and looks around, at her house, the life she lived, the modifications to the life she now has as Danielle, and finally at Genie, with a grin. "Would you like my life Genie, since we are doing this?"
For her part, the gratification that she is right is tempered by her own trepidation. She knows the rules, the scope of her servitude, the depth of her magic, and knows she can never be free. Surely there must be some caveat that prevents what she thinks may happen? But, no, if she has told Dani what she believes, and truly thinks she is capable of, then she needs to trust both her own assessment of the situation, as well as this person who is both her master and mistress, but very likely, the last one she will ever have. And so she smiles and nods "That is most gracious of you, and I will continue to look after the turtles Dani"
And Dani nods, stands and looks around, then pauses, making sure she is clear in how she words this, though she even realizes there is an extent to which her intent will come through regardless. "Ok, here goes nothing...or everything, or anything, well, we'll see I suppose" winks at Genie "First, I wish all my identification, and all my history were replaced with your likeness, for you to take my place in reality as Dani, all clothes and memories of others fit you and your self, leaving me as Dani free of any trace of my existence" And Genie stands as well, watching as a ripple spreads out from the two of them. The pictures on the wall now show a younger version of a girl Genie never was, in a life she never lead. Reality has been redone to give Genie a new life: Dan's life, and she smiles and nods "This next part is ok, I don't mind, in fact I am really looking forward to it Dani" and indeed, Dani had been a bit hesitant about this bit, but smiles at the reassurance from Genie and continues "I wish you, Genie, to have access to all my memories, knowledge, and skills, so you may effectively and completely fill any and all roles I did in my existence all while maintaining your own persona and memories as well, so you are not me, but can live in my role seamlessly"
Genie's eyes flutter a bit at that, and she even staggers somewhat, before smiling as she opens her eyes and smiles warmly "Oh, this is nice, I am so going to love your life Dan, thank you for letting me have it. But, fair warning, I am feeling like I sooo wanna get with Jimmy...about time he goes from best friend to a bit more, don't you think?" giggles softly, a little hesitant, wondering what Dan nee Dani thinks about that. But the statement was a trial balloon, to see if her master is truly ready for this. Dani doesn't disappoint and she smiles "I wouldn't have it any other way: my best friend deserves a great girl after his fiance left him. Besides" she grins slyly "Dan would likely joke about him getting to bang a hottie like you, but Dani understands that Jimmy is a tasty snack himself" winks and laughs, both girls smiling at one another. But Genie then nods, taking on a more serious expression. "It is time master...and I use that term intentionally Dan"
Dani nods, because even though she is Dani in form as opposed to Dan, and indeed, Dan's place in existence has been supplanted by Genie, she knows the next wish is the big one. The one she had thought about for ages, well before Dan paddled out and found the genie bottle. Taking a deep breath, Dani speaks "Ok, here goes... Genie, I wish to be able to keep my mind and awareness no matter what, and then, I wish you be able to turn myself into anything, anything at all. Be it living or nonliving, physical or nonphysical, to become any object, being, concept or fictional creation of which I am capable of considering, and to be able to exist anywhere in reality, and even outside of it" and she braces herself.
Genie smiles and before she gestures nods "Enjoy and thank you Dani....and yes, you can start off with me for the purposes of experimenting. I rather think you'll be with me quite a bit, and would have it no other way." she steps over and kisses Dani as she gestures.
Dani feels a tingle that seems to explode and spread throughout her form, feeling the magic, even as she kisses Genie back, her mind racing with the totality of what she can now be, what she can now do. Concentrating, she wills herself to:
