Chapter #2

In The Field

    by: Espada Author IconMail Icon
The world seemed to spin around Wolfgang after having stepped through the portal. Thankfully the sensation didn’t seem to last too long before he found himself standing on a small field of green grass surrounded by tall trees. Wolfgang had to take a second to steady himself as he almost hurled from the spinning sensation.

Finally after catching his breath Wolfgang mutters, “That portal sucks.”

Wolfgang then proceeded to the tree line while muttering, “Let’s see where that crazy scientist sent me and if what he said about this world’s inhabitants was true.”

However as soon as Wolfgang peaked through the tree line any remaining doubts he had about the scientist immediately disappeared. Looking out from the trees Wolfgang saw a park filled with humanoid animals of every race and size he could think of. Not to mention they were all fully clothed just like normal humans. And in the distance Wolfgang could see a modern style city in the distance.

Wolfgang leaned back behind the trees as he began to laugh hysterically. Between his laughter he says, “It’s real! It’s all real!”

He then looked down at the gun in his hand as he says with a grin, “I guess I better start hunting then!”

Wolfgang quickly began creeping through the tree line looking for anyone that wouldn’t be noticed getting zapped by others. Eventually he found three potential targets.

First he saw a young dog boy wearing a green t-shirt and shorts lying in the grass staring up at the sky with headphones in his ears. This was the easiest shot with there being no one around the boy.

Second he saw two doe women wearing summer dresses, seemingly a mother and daughter sitting on a park bench happily chatting together. It shouldn’t be difficult to shoot two shots in quick succession.

Third was a family of rabbit anthros. Seemingly a mother and father rabbit sitting on a blanket with a picnic basket. Around them were two younger rabbits running around and playing that looked like their children. One little boy and one little girl. Maybe he could lure one or a few of them away from the rest of the family.
