The following day you go with Freddy to the small, public pool, which was located in the center of the public park down the street from your house, so you can seek relief from the blistering summer heat. After you get towels and a water cooler, the both of you head over to the pool.
“I’m diving in first!” Freddy says, as he leaps off the diving board at the deep end of the pool. A second later, he makes a splash as his body lands in the water. As he comes up, he calls over to you.
“Well, come on, Jake! Get in the water!”
“Alright, alright…” you mumble. “I just wish I would’ve brought some fins with me…”
You finally jump in from the edge of the pool, before you come up and swim next to Freddy.
You spot an inflatable raft floating in the pool and you swim towards it. Once you reach the raft, you hoist your body on top of the raft, and you lay on your back. Freddy swims around you, and stops when he comes to where your feet are sticking out at the other end of the raft.
“I know what I’m going to do to you now…” he whispers quietly.
As you lay on the raft with your eyes closed, you suddenly feel a tingling in your feet.
“What the…?” you say, as you tilt your head up and look at your feet. Suddenly, you realize that your feet are growing bigger and bigger!
“What are you doing?”
“Well, you said you wanted fins!” Freddy shouts back.
Your feet grow bigger and wider. Your toes grow longer, but your feet grow almost twice as big! Now, they do seem like they’re as big as fins!
“There, you got size 24 feet!” Freddy laughs.
You look down and gasp. Indeed, your feet are twice the size they were before.
“I’m gonna test these babies out...” you say to him, as you swing your feet around the edge of the raft, before slipping back into the water.
Once you’re completely immersed in the water, you kick off using your feet, and the increased size immediately makes a big difference! Your large feet give you much more power, and you shoot through the water like a torpedo!
“Whooo!” you cheer as soon as you surface. “I don’t need fins anymore… Not with feet like these!
Freddy just looked on and smiled.
You both spend some more time in the pool just having fun and enjoying yourselves. Soon enough though, your time gets called and you have to exit the pool. Freddy makes sure to shrink your feet down before you get out so that you don't draw any unwanted attention. Hiding their size in the pool had been easy.
After getting changed you exit the building to find Freddy waiting for you outside. "So, where to now?" you ask.
