~ ~ ~ CONTEST DEADLINE ~

Dec 25th 2006 - 11:59pm WDC time.

Using a creative approach - re-tell the story of the Birth of Christ.
Where and how you start and end the story is up to you.
Please be truthful to the Gospels.
Other than that - be creative !!
YOU DECIDE HOW TO WRITE IT !

~ IDEAS ~

- Tell the story from the viewpoint of Mary,
or one of the wisemen,
or Joseph or even Jesus himself.

- Be an outside observer in Bethlehem and tell
what you saw the night Christ was born

- Put yourself into the scene
and describe what you see

- Interact with the people or just narrate it

- or ???? got another idea? Run with it!

~ Short story, Dialogue, Article, etc.

~ Between 1,000 and 5,000 words. *Put the word count somewhere in the item*
If you're a little under or over on the count - that's ok - but please -
no novels or flash fiction

~ Spelling, grammer, punctuation are critical and will be part of the judging.

~ Only E rated items. Anything else may be suspended and/or deleted
and will not be considered for judging.
NO exceptions !!!!

~ NO profanity, violence, language, etc... NO exceptions !!!!
The item will not be considered for judging if it contains any of these things.

~ NO editing after closing date - (Dec 25th 2006 11:59pm WDC time)
until after the judging is complete and winners posted
or you will be disqualified from judging!!!

~ One entry per author per year.

~ Must be written new for this contest.

~ Post in item, bitem or titem format. If you need help with this - read:

A minimum of five valid entries are required to guarantee prizes. If there are less than five valid entries, each author will receive 2,500 gps and the contest will be declared over without being judged. We still may give out an award if an item is exceptional, but that is at the judge's discretion.
