Flash fiction is a challenge for a garrulous person; for one who writes as though afflicted with 'carpal funnel syndrome' it is almost an impossibility. Words come clattering onto the keyboard ere they are formed in my brain. I wince as I chop and shave bits off my creations, painful sliver by sliver. I tease out threads of incomparable beauty and winnow the chaff of exquisite metaphor in order to achieve a succinct and lucid whole.

Do I succeed? Come in, sit down and read.
