In search of answers to life's mysteries,
we look for wisdom written in night sky,
rummaging through celestial galleries

and listening to woodland melodies
along the country roads in late July,
in search of answers to life's mysteries.

We wander Main streets lined with dogwood trees
and hope to gain a bit of knowledge by
rummaging through celestial galleries.

We try to weave poetic tapestries
and comprehend the many reasons why
in search of answers to life's mysteries.

Disturbed by some oppressive memories,
we forgive the past and bid that pain goodbye,
rummaging through celestial galleries.

Above all else, we pray upon our knees
and ask our Lord for guidance from on high
in search of answers to life's mysteries,
rummaging through celestial galleries.

Too much
disruptive chouse
and such

will bring
police around
to sting.

May we
avoid this stuff.
Agree?

Succulent broiled flounder,
topped with seasoned crab
and drizzled with
lobster bisque,
makes my mouth
water.
Yum!

Esprit de corps is forged before
orientation is complete
by sergeant's drills without the frills,
where bravery and challenge meet.

Esprit de corps so far from shore,
engaging with the ocean's moods
with only brief bits of relief
during R & R interludes.

Esprit de corps in peace and war
for everything we hold dear.
The bond we share still lingers there
beyond military career.

Inspiration bloomed
in global garden for all
when Storymaster wrote code.

We came together
on that site to establish
our precious community.

On sunny Sunday afternoon,
summer breeze whispers in my ear
about the pleasures of riding stream
on magic carpet made of wood.

As we glide along the thoroughfare,
bright rays of sunlight dance
upon ripples of pole dipping

dip, drip, drip
dip, drip, drip
dip, drip, drip

generating sense of serendipity
through Mother Nature's serenade.

From flying dragons and other
psychedelic relics
to paddy wagons at my ex-lover’s
mountain cabin,
anything can happen
when I allow my muse to frolic
in the playpen
of my imagination.

         When matters go astray,
like red rose blooming in a field of weeds,
a simple smile will brighten cloudy day
         and plant some friendship seeds.

         To find a better space
when daily grind begins to wear you down,
just spread your sunshine all over the place
         and lose that ugly frown.

         Restock your spirit cart
by taking up contrasting attitude.
The more you smile, the more you heal the heart
         with dose of mental food.

         We must evaluate
to find a more accommodating style
and never, ever, underestimate
         the power of a smile.

Alarm goes off.
Another day
is underway
to start the week.

The daily grind
with promise bleak,
it makes me shriek
'til Friday comes.

Our mission called,
but weather had us stalled,
until Eisenhower gave the command.
When ramps went down,
we thought that we would drown
before we could traverse the narrow sand.

We hit the beach
and fought like hell to breach
the enemy's fortified resistance.
For days, the battle wailed,
but our forces prevailed,
thanks to our unwavering persistance.

From bloody plot,
some came back, some did not.
We paid a hefty price for victory
when it was done,
without comparison,
forever etched in tomes of history.
