I discovered that I have a collection of c-notes--Yes, I am still exploring my own account since coming back lmao

I also discovered a gifted image to place in my sig--In 2009 I had donated gift points to help others and in thanks for that charity I received this image.

Friday is here! Even though I only have a two-day weekend this time I have finished 1 of 3 of my review goals.

So now, I have 2 reviews left to do; along with an addition to the 'Pass The Write Baton' interactive and adding to the--new in progress story--'The Tour'; and writing a finish to my last weeks campfire addition to complete this weekend's goals.

Well, I thought I'd post in my blog sooner. Apparently Not! lol

I just finished reading and reviewing
STATIC
Long Musings on Short Stories  (E)
Some random thoughts on writing short stories.
. I have fulfilled my 1 of 3 read and review obligations for the upcoming weekend.

I recommend reading Max Griffin 🏳️‍🌈 's essay as it is a helpful and an interesting read.

I did something I've not done before with this review--I submitted it to "Good Deeds Get CASH!. I deem this review to be, by far, one of my best, so why not place it in a community wide competition.

I have tonight off due to lack of work at the plant (delayed component shipments due to the awful weather in the midwest have pretty much halted production. No components=No production=No work)--however, tonight will be made up on Sunday so this is actually the first day of my normal 3 day weekend this coming weekend.

Later today I go to work--hopefully to do my production job and not warehouse cleaning or other busy work.

The main good thing about going to work Sunday is the last day of my work week next week will be all OT. I'm looking forward to a slight boost to my take home pay on my 'rent is due' payday. lol

Just wiped out around 150 old blog entries--the best ones I backed up on my computer to be placed in an archive later. I fell short on R/R/Rs and I didn't write in the interactive this weekend--but I did write over 2,000 words for two items this weekend. So all and all not a bad few days.

I went to bed very late--sometime around 1:30pm MT/3:30pm ET so of course, it follows that I got up late.

I have been on the computer, but not on writing.com. Rather I have been surfing some of the Women's Literary Magazine sites shared yesterday on the community bulletin by Joy

I also researched some rarely used vocabulary words, words that might be commonly spoken in a fantasy world--both elite jargon for the 'High falluten' and some gutter slang used by the common surf.

words like 'barm' (bahrm): beer foam
and
'dobbin' (DAH-bin): working farm horse

or 'accubation' (AK-yoo-BAY-shin): the act or the practice of reclining on a couch, as practiced by the ancients at meals. (The pretty slave feeding grapes to the reclining Roman senator is accubation)

The painted and feathered dratchell took young Perci's arm and, with what she meant as an alluring smile, tried to entice him into Doxy's; an infamous house near the Skaptinhausen docks.

It was fun.

Thursday is done and my weekend begins. My goals include writing in my campfire--it is my turn--and I want to prepare another entry for the next time it is my turn. Therefore, I have 2 campfire sections to write by Monday morning.

Then I plan to R/R/R at least three authors--two new stories/chapters by 2 authors I started reading last weekend and 1 author I haven't yet read/rated/reviewed.

Third, I plan to add to 'Pass the Baton' interactive story and Lastly, I hope to create an all new story to place into my portfolio. This would take care of 1 of up to 3 new stories I want to have written by the end of March.

And, if I once again find myself revisiting Malyn and her story--I will pursue that activity as well.

Okay my weekly goals are set.

Wednesday night work was better than Tuesday night--anyway, I'm not totally exhausted. We ended up going home a half-hour early because we accomplished all the piddly tasks we were assigned to do. It is raining and around 40 degrees F.

It was a long night at work--rearranging the warehouse to be able to find packaging and components easier--shoveling snow from in front of the storage as it slid off the roof (that was an all night affair). So when I got home I soak in a very hot tub for about an hour and went to bed. I didn't prep my lunches or any of the other things I do the night before I have to go back to work. So now I'm up and getting ready for another atypical night at work. I've taken my 'Aleve' for the sore muscles in my back, I'm making my lunches, and I'm dressing a lot warmer then yesterday.

I never did get my campfire piece written this last weekend and now it is my turn--*Facepalm*

It was a long day at work--well the normal 10 hour day--it just seemed to take longer than usual--lol--and now I am thinking of nothing but going to bed and going to sleep.

Hopefully, I will dream a mythology scene I can expand upon by Friday...*RollEyes*

The end of another weekend and with it the end of my three day writing window I have every week. I find it very interesting that when I had a 24/7 window for months and months to sit and write, I found other things to do instead. And now, when I have such limited time for writing, my muse is starting to wake up and she is kicking me to get my attention.

To review my activities this weekend...

I didn't do 1 read/rate/review as I had planned; I did 3 this weekend (all of them yesterday). It seems to help when I know the people (or if I am at least familiar with the people) whose work I am reading/rating/reviewing. I did read/rate/review 1 person whom I never reviewed before this week end...so I have balanced my reviewing activities to include strangers *Laugh*

I successfully added a chapter to Joy 's "Pass the Write-Baton and earned a wonderful note and 500gps in the process.

I still need to write something for my campfire "Timing is Everything, but as I am just now eating my dinner I have several hours to get that accomplished--since it isn't my turn just yet, I will place my next campfire entry into my "freewrites: prompts, scenes, or teasers until my turn comes up. I will be able to edit my addition so much easier in the journal, also.

I also need to generate some story ideas for those 1-3 short stories I plan to write yet this month. It helps if I don't wait until the last weekend to start them lol.

Unplanned for and unforeseen, I have also started going through one of my original unfinished novel manuscripts and have stirred up some sweet rustlings within my muse. Malyn has whispered into my ear this weekend. I think my niece may have something to do with this awakening. At least, I prefer to blame her enthusiasm for sparking my own. Just like smiles and laughter are contageous, enthusiasm for the craft is contageous.

All in all, this weekend has proven to be a very satisfying three days.

I received 1 review and I gave 1 review in all of February--I wish to significantly increase how many reviews I give in March; I will attempt at least 1 review per weekend.

I wrote 1 short story (Cloth Shortage) in February. My goal is to either write 1 to 3 short stories in March.

I participated twice in an Interactive story called "Pass the Write Baton" during February. I plan to add 4 chapters to the body of "Pass the Write Baton" in March.

I wrote 2 parts to my "Timing is Everything" campfire in February. In March I plan to add to "Timing is Everything" campfire every weekend.

Lofty goals, especially after such a long creative drought. But the way I see it, if I don't push my perimeters how can I expect to better my creative productivity?

I will continue to be present and write something everyday into my blog during March.

My weekend began with me getting stuck in my driveway and all I wanted to do was go mail my rent check *Laugh* So, I just spent 2 hours shoveling snow; something, by the way, that I would have been incapable of doing this time last year. (Was recovering from a long bout of illness and recent gallbladder surgery back then.) Today it felt really good to be able to actually do something physical for 2 hours straight.

It was snowing again as I came into the house so that promises another shoveling bout tomorrow. *Wink*

I haven't even had my breakfast yet! (I got up around 4:00pm MT--6:pm ET).

I have accomplished my initial February goal of showing up every day and saying something--anything--in my blog--Only missed one day and that was the day before I set my goal. Therefore, I will set the same goal for March. Practicing accountable consistancy gives me the meerest opportunity to actually write something new.

[hmmm, I Just discovered that 'meer' is not a word by itself--verbal slang that I use alot to indicate a quantitative measure that is smaller than tiny--I cannot find it in the dictionary. Yet, I know I've read it somewhere?]

[The proper spelling is mere. So the sentence should read: Practicing accountable consistancy gives me the merest opportunity to actually write something new. Which just looks odd.]

Supposed to be colder today then get warmer and raining by Friday.

Work went okay tonight, but on the way home I hit a deer and busted up the grill in front of my radiator. I wonder how much that bit of plastic is going to cost? The deer paid a higher price--broke her neck so she died nearly instantly *Sad*

another 4"-6" of new snow since I drove to work yesterday afternoon.

I almost got stuck in the parking lot at work since whoever plowed put a healthy pile behind my truck--wth! Anyway, I managed to work myself out by rocking back n forth until I packed the stuff down. Fun times *Wink*
