Review of Cold Coffee

Well written and my favorite kind of story Tim. Real life and real moments are core to my favorite fiction and what you have captured here is eternal to those who have developed strong, loving relationships in their marriage. I love the pace of the story. It is like participating in the day itself. Not everyone will appreciate the values you are describing and revealing here, but those of us who have lived a few of those moments are delighted to visit and revisit through the eyes and words of a quality writer. Superbly done.

Thank you for sharing ~Kenword~

I like your story very much. "She ran into the storm, letting the rain erase her tracks." I love that line. Girl or wolf, I sense Storm's anguish at being at odds with the world. It is easy to walk with you and your Storm and I like how easy it is to be comfortable with the character you have created. The easy pace makes the story come together for me and I can believe in Storm, that she is a creature both of a human world and a wolf world. Nicely done.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful story. ~Kenword~

Nicely done. Wonderful flow and the words are stark and yet fanciful. The coarseness of a future without any improvement in morals or subtlity is amusing and thought provoking. Adam is intriquing and offers many future possibilities as a nobleman and the Lucy is obviously beyond her 16 years. The pithy dialogue keeps the future tagged to the present nicely and who doesn't love three thugs on a train. I love the fact they're salesmen. The guy who sold me my new insulated windows could have been one of them.

Thanks for a sweet ride. ~Kenword~

Great story. I like the range of judgements that are explored in the story. The feelings that the story stirs up are natural and compelling to me. A cadilac. Working long hours. Self satisfaction. The story is not at all far fetched and I grinned through the whole piece as I have imagined similar encounters with the seemingly down and out and wondered. Thanks for putting a good spin on it in the end. This could easily build into a bigger story with more detail and more history, perhaps add a coup of scenes that add to the misleading.

Good job.

Ken

Review of Summer Heat

Awesome dialogue. Chilling for us who have had to go up against the will of a two year old. Even while I was aware something horrific was going to happen with the decision to go outside, you certainly exceeded my expectations with new life coming into the world with a crash and a bang. Your story held my interest extremly well and it has some great potential if expanded, to become a great hard hitting short story or novella.

Thanks,

Ken

Review of Sulfur

Really well done. I won't be eating pork for a while. I love the contrast between the main character and Drew. Deep in the work. Lost in the work. Trying to save something, but at the same time tested and tried by the work. I could feel their relationship gaining some girth and power. Certainly a lot to work with here and it would be well worth the time to polish some more. My only suggestion is add a few more senses. Hearing and smell. Even taste. What does a hog farmers ham sandwich really taste like. I remember rasinng several pigs when I was a kid. They don't leave one unbiased about their grunts, squeals, snorts and occasional groans. I can still smell them today. I nearly black out thinking about thirty of the creatures.

Well done and thanks for the story.

I liked your story very much. I get Harold. He is easy to understand and work with and I know him. I've been him. Its good to see the use of a simple story line to build a host of characters and possibilities for some serious entertainment. My one suggestion would be to expand all the other characters to make Harold's journey even more challenging. Everyone in the story exists on a one dimensional level. But there are some complexities here that could be explored more deeply if Mrs. Chops for example was more rude, or sarcastic or cute or intillectual. Another example wold be that long time buddies could be failing the class or are engaging to the rest of the world because of their smarts or wit or style. They like Harold, but that could have more power if we knew who they are really.

There is a lot of potential punch to the story, because Harold is one of us, given the depth of our world we know that Harold is immersed in something that has a lot more color, flavor and emotion than what we are able to see right at the moment.

Very much a fun read. Thanks.

This article was a blessing. It was painful to receive as I am suffering from a pain that makes it hard to do what I like to do best, use the keyboard to write. But I will receive your inspired word to focus on what I am to learn in the process of being humbled. I too pray for the grace to endure this trifle of a suffering and receive God's infinite mercy. Thanks for the encouragement.

What a lovely piece of poetry. The theme of leaving me and my love behind touches a place in my soul and the images that surround the preface and the cry in the aftermath of the empty house is so real I can feel the hurt. "Save me" is a great universal truth, though seldom used in such a powerful way. If i was the one to come and save I would feel the draw of your heart's call. Thank you for sharing.

Review of Your Today

Extremely delightful. I love the structure and the rhythm with the words. Today is a gift and verse like yours is a wonderful reminder to be thankful what we receive. When I begin to live life from my wishes how fleeting my life truly becomes. I try to grasp life through those wishes and it is just like water.

Everything in your thoughts and words touched something very real and ever present in my soul.

Thank you.
