I am not giving you a 5 star becuase this is the most perfect writing. I am giving you the 5 stars because you wrote it at all. I love the peace you have found, the freedom to write. The expression of being in the right place at the right time and realizing it. Those are big huge accomplishments. Those are things that should be celebrated with stars and ribbons. Writing is a gift and not everyone can use words to express what they want to say, but I think you nailed it and I am glad I read this. I might only have a few years on ya, but I get this deep.

Hello The Lizard King

What I like about good poetry is the image and imagination that it creates in my mind. I like seeing the flashes of light and the movement of water. I get the feeling of titans and meremades for some reason and an awaking of history and passion. Nice combination and flow. Thanks for sharing your journey and keep writing!

In a circle of red and bright colors you talk about life. In a message that is far deeper than words, you talk about the cirlce of love and those memories that are stronger then Mother Nature, our true Mom. My Mom passed away 7 years ago this week. I will forever think of her. Her name was Rose.

I have been here before! I think one of the most imporant things a woman should learn is to trust her gut! Esp with the Internet and having to live our life in public. We have to listen to the signs we hear inside. Trust is a big issue for so many people, and we have to learn first to trust in God and ourself. I have no suggestions to improve this poem. I like the flow of questions in this and I can totally relate to the opening line. Don't we all have to balance our emotions? Some are so strong. I think my only suggestion, and it's just a personal beef I have, is to Capitolize your i's. I think you will make a stronger statement and also, what about using questions marks after asking the questions do I fall to the light? etc...
Other wise, it is a very powerful poem and I enjoyed it.

I have to say I admire the strength of your words, but hope you don't follow through with the thoughts. I do believe every soul has a purpose. I am not one to suggest that when things are bad that we end it. I believe in hope for tomorrow. This is a very sad and real poem. It expresses the loneliness I have felt. I do at times feel like a stranger and I am 45 years old. So some things we learn to live with. May you find that reason, always.

I really enjoyed reading this! Perhaps, because I can relate only to well to the story line. I love the line of bringing sexy back. Why, do we let go of our true self? I have been on Mt. Hood a long long time ago. It was summer and I didn't go that high up! You and Tami are very brave souls. I know I have never been a climber and some of the things you went thru don't even fit inside my imagination. However, I am at peace that nature was kind to you and you were smart to go down. So where have all the fairies gone? I like that kind of questioning because you wonder and you desire to know. I want to know as well because I think they left with my muse. I wish fantasy could be a thing of reality, but only the imagination can make it come back home. I suppose growing up has some advantages but I miss my childhood trips to neverland!

You know that saying...Fiction is better when based on truth? Well, in this case...Truth is far more scarier then fiction! I have to say I am living really close to this dark side of the street. So it is the drinking or the problems that are making this mess? You see it confused me at the end, because you buid a strong image of confusion and inner pain, that can only make drinking all that more real and painful. Indeed greed is not good for the whole world and helping others is what we hope we learn at a young age. On my way over to do my reviews for your auction, I landed on this! I am so happy I did. It is just the kind of reflection I am going through this time of year for myself. I can find that I can really get sucked into the glamour of negative thinking and I work really hard to find my balance and share my positive thoughts. If I stay in that zone, like is better for me and my small cirlce of friends as well. I have reduced the size of my cirlce in the last couple of years. I find the older I get, the stronger my cirlce is and the less I need so many people. If you keep the right ones around, you find that you can be a lot more happy. Thanks for sharing this and I hope you find your balance.

You forget to mention that that boy saves that town and in a very real way,each child that is abused has to save themself at some point. It's true what you do with your past will determine where you are going in the future and there are times you can not control the memories or what happens to make them come back full force.

You ask a lot of really good questions and I like poetry that makes me think. I do think it is all those things and so much more. It's also not something that can be defined and it is different for everyone and I know after 20 years of marriage my stomach is not involved anymore. LOL

I think this style of poetry flows well, but you ask so many questions, I wonder where are the questions marks? I'm not an editor of poetry, just something I noticed lacking in your poem.
