Review of Be my everything
Review by Tornado Day
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)

Dearest Lonewolf ,

This is an exceptional piece of work. Everyone loves a love poem.... This work of prose is no exception!

Although it has no bearing on my review, I noticed the spelling of 'your' in the second line. It should, in fact, be 'you're'........ Otherwise, this was truly enchanting!

Thank you for entering this piece for consideration for the Rising Stars Shining Brighter April competition. Good luck with the contest.

Always,
Bobbie (Circle of Sisters)

Review of Pain
Review by Tornado Day
Rated: E | (5.0)
Paul,

I was moved (again) by this poem...such that I wanted my opinion to be a part of the public page (and I don't do that often).

Pain that becomes our twin...as real to us as our next breath.. I've never known that but know you have. Someone told me that we are like the silver to the silversmith...put into the fire time and again until (like the silversmith and the silver) the maker's reflection can be seen in us.... I love that story and I know there is truth in it. I also know that the maker sees His reflection in you....

Wonderful words...more than deserving of the ribbon it wears.

Always your friend,
Bobbie

I know the truth in these words.......I have seen that dark despair, and applaud your recreation of those moments......of hope and hopelessness.

Excellent work, my friend.

Dearest Maria Mize ,

Though dark and at times destressing, this is a tale of immortal beauty and grace...of those who defy their circumstances. While they live in the shadows, they know they are a part of the Heavenly Father's love....and in that, they find their refuge...their peace.

Exceptional! I am honored to review this as part of the Circle of Sister's Rising Stars Shining Brighter contest!

Blessings!

Dearest Just an Ordinary Boo! ,

This is an wonderful write...taking me back in time to a place of glass-ringed tables, spotty floors, and endless coffee. How I survived college is still a mystery!! You describe it so well that I was there again for a moment -- and then screamed "SNAP OUT OF IT"!!! *Bigsmile*

Exceptional! I am honored to review this as part of the Circle of Sister's Rising Stars Shining Brighter contest!

Delightful!!!

Dearest Dr Matticakes Myra ,

I was hympnotized by this weave of dark into shadows....light into lucid understanding. I applaud your choice of words in describing the change of view....the blink of an eye....the horror and the reality....vague imperfection becoming truth...

Exceptional!

I am honored to have had the pleasure of reviewing it for the Circle of Sisters - Rising Stars Shining Brighter contest!

Wonderful work!!!

Thank you for the gifts of your talent...and good luck with the contest.

Dearest Oldwarrior ,

I started reading this with one thought - "oh crap...another long essay that will put me to sleep if it doesn't kill me first". Boy was I wrong! This exposure of this hidden truth is something that every American should be made aware of.

I too believe that we do not become 'better' by becoming less in order to win. What do we win when we become the same monster we claim to be fighting?

This is exceptional and I am honored to have had the pleasure of reviewing it for the Circle of Sisters - Rising Stars Shining Brighter contest!

Enduring!

Thank you for the gifts of your talent...and good luck with the contest.

This is a wonderful write and I am honored to have had the pleasure of reviewing it for the Circle of Sisters - Rising Stars Shining Brighter contest!

Haunting!!!

Thank you for the gifts of your talent...and good luck with the contest.

Dear SWPoet :

I am reviewing your work as a member of The Circle of Sisters, and for the North Star Contest.

I enjoyed reading this piece, and was quietly fearing the worst when I started it because of the implied subject. I was absolutely delighted that the story shifted such that out of the ashes of his childhood, a phoenix rose.......in response to the muse. FANTASTIC WORK! *Star*

Keep writing! Your talent is appreciated and recognized by your peers....and today, by the Circle of Sisters. Good luck with the competition!

Always,
TornadoDay

Angels each time I stop by I see more wonderful changes and that is a good thing. The army is strong and has come such a long and wonderful way from day one. I'm so proud to be a part of this wonderful community - although not as active as I once was but still check in a lot of days to see what is going on.
Thank you angels for sharing the love! And for filling the site with angels galore.

Always

Review of Grief And Guilt
Review by Tornado Day
Rated: E | (5.0)
Harry, funny you should write this. A cousin recently lost his father (my uncle) and now begins the pain of healing. As often happens, the children are taking sides against eachother, lashing out at those who they love. I know it is part of their grieving that makes them react in such a way...we must find someone to blame.

Being from the South, guilt is commonly served with almost every meal. And yet, we feed ourselves enough without the help of anyone else.

Thanks for sharing.

Review of Let Her Be A Weed
Review by Tornado Day

Harry, this is a wonderful message. It is true, that blossom bloom and provide nectar to the bee, but it is the weed that survives when nothing else does, and a wish for a daughter to be a weed is indeed a beautiful wish.

Excellent work. I enjoyed this and was attracted by the title....and not disappointed at all by the writing. Great work.

Thanks for sharing your wish and your talent.

Dear T.L.Finch ,

Awww....this left me with goosebumps! I can only imagine such a true life story, and yet I know it happens all too often. You've done an excellent job of conveying the terror and the hopelessness of that event....... Thanks for entering this for The Urgent Message Response Contest. I enjoyed it.

Good luck!

Meg, this is very well written, and I feel educated after reading it. Must be like having volcanic ash fall around you. At least you know what it is and that it's coming by the smell on the air. Good work.

Dear embe ,

This is very well written and speaks to a monster that lurks silently in every place on earth -- rich and poor -- educated and not. Our children are our heritage, our future, our one true legacy. Indeed, we should all rise up against the demon of abuse. Exceptional!

Thank you for submitting this for the July Shining Stars contest. I wish you much luck, and keep writing.....please keep writing.

Dear Meg ~

Delightful work as usual, my friend. This had me in stitches....and oh, I can imagine. Whenever my dog would escape, I knew where to go looking........the barn. Seems she had an attraction to horse manure! Ewww.... *Smile* Thanks for sharing a laugh.

I really enjoyed this piece, although I must admit I am partial to the rivers, land, and peoples that walked this great plain at another time. I am part Keetoowah and find all the inspiration I need in what has been here since the start! *Smile* Exceptional work...... thanks for sharing.

Dear Rose,

This is an exceptional piece of work. You've described well the monster known as writer's block....and how much larger he becomes in our will to 'get it right'. The harder we try, the bigger the monster. *Smile*

Very well done, my dear.

Thanks for submitting this entry for the May Shining Star competition. I am sure you will do well, and appreciate your sharing of this spectacular work.

Dearest Dragonblue,

This is very well written, and you've expressed well the need for intervention in lives that were doomed from the beginning without our help, our compassion, or truth.

Nice work. Thanks for submitting this entry for the May Shining Star competition. I am sure you will do well, and appreciate your sharing of this wonderful work.
