Review of A Warm Welcome
Review by Whitney
Rated: E | (5.0)
This is a great commentary on getting used to the dynamics of life in a college dormitory. It's a wonderful thing when absolute strangers can turn into friends because they will be in such close proximity to each other. I am glad that you now feel more at home. Nice writing here.

This is a great continuation of Gideon's story, and I am hooked. It's very descriptive, and includes just the right amount of action and suspense. I enjoyed the introduction of Grandma, a kind and caring soul. I really felt for her when she was assaulted. I look forward to other chapters.

Review of A Love Within
Review by Whitney
Rated: E | (5.0)
This is so beautiful. It's simple yet so telling. I have always loved roses myself. They are so sensual, romantic, and expressive. I always said I would be happy with a single rose and I don't need an entire bouquet of them. I hope you have found the love of your life and he showers you often with lovely roses.

Your writing here makes perfect sense and I agree with you. Unless one has a medical reason for being overweight there really is no excuse. Making better food choices and getting out even just to walk would make a marked improvement on body condition and overall health. And the toxins we are exposed to are really scary. I try to buy organic produce when I can, but I know that even this practice is not enough. Thank you for a very thought provoking piece.

This is a very sweet poem that speaks to our curiosity when we see animal prints in the snow. It's natural to want to follow them to see where they lead and what will be at the other end if the trail. It's too bad the cats wouldn't come in out of the cold. I hope they all made it to live a good life. Nice writing here.

This story is really coming about and I would have loved to read more. Very descriptive with nice flow. I felt a bit of sadness when I read about the misfortune and death of Gideon's wife. It's quite emotional. I only imagine that he is looking to avenge his wife's death. It's a great story that I hope I will see more of.

Review of Lizard?
Review by Whitney
Rated: E | (5.0)
This is a great little poem that I found quite wonderful. It's got nice flow and perfect rhyme. It held my attention from start to finish and I liked the way you described the lizard. Is hizard really a word? Ha ha. I will have to check. Overall it's an enjoyable poem. Nice work.

Review of River and Swamp
Review by Whitney
Rated: 18+ | (5.0)
I enjoyed this story from start to finish. It's a very good depiction of living off the land and accepting whatever it provides to feed hungry kids and neighbors, even on holidays. There may not have been a turkey, duck, or goose for Thanksgiving, but there was plenty of food nonetheless. Nice work.

Review of Meatball Memories
Review by Whitney
Rated: E | (5.0)
This is quite a descriptive poem dedicated to the mighty meatball, as remembered by the author from much younger days. The meatballs sound absolutely bold and delightful, nestled there on a bed of spaghetti and sauce. They must have been thoroughly enjoyed with gusto to be remembered so fondly. Nice flow and rhyme.

Review of Candy Land
Review by Whitney
Rated: E | (5.0)
What a fun and colorful poem describing Candy Land. It's every child's dream, and probably a lot of adults' dreams too. I enjoyed the flow and rhyme, and all the different candies you mentioned. I especially liked the chocolate bars because chocolate is my weakness. Great job!

What a nice tribute to our veterans and active military alike. I love to read things like this because I have more than one relative who has served. I know the enormous sacrifice that they make, along with their families. Thank you for remembering them for what they have done to protect our country. Nice job.

Review of Try The Uni
Review by Whitney
Rated: 13+ | (5.0)
This is a fantastic piece of work that had me chuckling at the very end. You certainly were very brace to try all the different varieties of sushi available that day. I never cared for any raw seafood but I like the cooked varieties that can be found in these restaurants. Kudos to you for a fantastic story.

There's nothing like Thanksgiving dinner, but that usually means a turkey will lose its life and will be on our dinner table. This piece is great because it comes from the point of view of a bunch of turkeys who lose one of their friends this holiday. Even the dog seeks refuge from all the activity of the kids. There's even a mention of the traditional football game watching. Great job.

Review of Mangiare
Review by Whitney
Rated: E | (5.0)
I love not only the look of this piece but the content itself. There is nothing like Mama's cooking, a taste of home and life itself, a nod to the good old days of youth when coming to dinner was coming to an atmosphere of comfort in the food we ate. This person spent time behind bars, so coming back to Mama's cooking is extra special. Nice work.

This is a lovely little poem describing the first snowfall of the season. There's a beauty to it with the "pearls" of snow covering the now frozen autumn leaves that haven't yet had a chance to fall. Along with this beauty are the crows who are upset to lose their warmer autumn season, so they give protest. Nice work.

This is a lively little poem with all the crackling goodness of freshly popped popcorn. It's a refined tribute to a wholesome and flavorful snack that so many people enjoy. I especially liked the reference to the sound of the corn popping as "accelerated crackling". Nice work.

This was quite an extensive list for your erotic thesaurus. I highly approve. Many were terms I have seen before and used, but there were even more I never thought of. I loved the different categories, the spacing of them, and the different colors for each category. It's a very exhilarating "piece" of work, no pun intended.

Review of Sea Pines
Review by Whitney
Rated: E | (5.0)
I love writings about the sea because I am very emotionally drawn to it. This piece is wonderful with its rhythm and rhyme. It was descriptive and clever, and I enjoyed every stanza. I imagined being on that sailing ship and hearing all the chatter of the crew. Great work.

Review of How Things Were
Review by Whitney
Rated: E | (5.0)
This poem was captivating and moved along with nice flow and rhyme. It brings to mind memories of young love, with all the hopes and dreams that come along with it. There was romance, but also great depth and sadness as the wrongs done are acknowledged. It's a very emotional piece. Great work.

Review of Afterbirth
Review by Whitney
Rated: 13+ | (5.0)
This piece was quite entertaining. There was some rhyme, some humor, and a good dose of shock value. It's more than just a colorful description of a topic not often talked about in typical conversation. Here it was given its rightful due and then some. Good work.

Review of Tears at Dawn.
Review by Whitney
Rated: E | (5.0)
This is a lovely poem of love and destiny. Love can free those living in darkness and despair. Love can give hope where once there was none. Love can comfort and heal. Your piece is very emotional and touching. I was very moved when I read it. It's a beautiful poem, and I am sure if there's a lady you wrote it for, she loves you and appreciates you very much. Nice work.

This poem expresses love and obvious admiration for a dear friend, maybe for someone even closer than a friend. I liked the references to the smell of rain, inspiration, and water so blue. It's heartwarming and emotional, a very nice read. It's a sweet poem.

This is a lovely piece that I loved reading from start to finish. It's describes a beautiful way to live life, moment to moment, enjoying the simplest of things which when properly appreciated are quite amazing in their own right. There's wonderful words here with a meaningful message. Nice work.

Review of Roasted
Review by Whitney
Rated: E | (5.0)
This piece is short but sweet. Comparing yourself to food is a bit humorous but I liked it. It brought visions to me of a steak, put on an outdoor grill and roasted to perfection, the juices oozing out. It's a very creative piece that reads quite well. Nicely done.
