Some like to tell tales of scary stories
Full of terror and trauma
That shake people to their core
Halloween is the time of year
When these tales do run amuck
One such tale ties many together
As Sam walks through the town
His burlap mask hides a skull
Of pumpkin hybrid head
As terror travels through school buses
And poisoned candy
And deep in graves dug deep
As creepy ghouls track you down
And lay your world to waste.
Beware of such tales
And don't blow out your

Day 8 Fable
A fable is a poetic story composed in verse or prose with a moral summed up at the end. Usually using animals as characters to teach a valuable lesson.
Most commonly found example of fables are the Aesop's Fables.
Topic--Anthology films tend to be a mixed bag, but this clever combo from writer-director Michael Dougherty (who would tackle another dark holiday with “Krampus”) features four very wicked and genuinely unsettling stories. The classics are covered, from poisoned candy to werewolves, while also introducing new lore with the character of Sam – a demon with a burlap mask hiding a skull-pumpkin hybrid head. The tales unfold in a non-linear but overlapping style that adds to the tension without distraction. Most of all, it’s the stellar cast – from Oscar-winner Anna Paquin to character greats Brian Cox and Dylan Baker – that elevate the Halloween tales. — J.R.
