Just so you know, I wanted get in the Holiday Mood by Making up my own 12 days of Christmas, Starting today! That way you'll have a wonderful Christmas! And you'll be ready to tackle the New Year in style! Uh, Marbles? what are you talking about? I'm just glad that you are back, and we can start getting ready for the New Year! Oh, pfffbt  ! You'll be glad of this, amyjo! So,I've gone out, and have already gotten you the FIRST gift of the Twelve Days of Christmas! Uh, Marbles? Does this have anything to do with a credit card again? I have barely recovered from your New York hijinks... Relax, amyjo...... Mumbles !@##$%$##@ (keeping it clean, folks!) to self....$3500 because of a flight of fancy I did NOT just say that  It's noon, Marbles...you need to get to the airport!Oh, ok....I'm coming home for real this time...you need to lighten up amyjo. Think of this as an investment... I'm NOT made of money! Marbles? Please! Just come home now. I promise I won't be mad at you. I just sent the money you need for the ticket to come home. Things are going to be heating up quickly now...I'm going to really need you focused and ready to help me with the upcoming projects.... I know, amyjo...and I AM sorry, well, maybe a little sorry...I really needed the time off...and I know that it's going to be an interesting year coming up....Wait til you find out what I'm planning for your big 50 this coming year....***giggles*** I'm not even thinking of that right now, Marbles....and I DON'T need anything huge for my birthday...It's not til summer anyway....We've got enough on our plates without going into THAT. ***pouts....you really DO need to lighten up amyjo...this stress isn't good for you. | Well, I am patiently waiting at the airport for Marbles to arrive home. Well, maybe patiently is putting it a bit mildly. Now that the Inquiring Minds contest is winding up, and my Give it 100 is finished, I just have a few things left before the craziness sets in for January... Winter construct cup, reworking stories, Give it 100, part II, not to mention keeping up with the Inquiring Minds newsletters, reviewing for the different groups and working on an anthology with Sally and Jim. So, things are going to pick up AGAIN, in just a short time. (looking at the arrivals....) I'm glad Marbles was able to have fun, with Carol and Soukie, but we still need to have a talk about credit cards....and ASKING. The way these three mischievous musketeers get along, I am sure that the NonBlogger will have something to add about this misadventure...***shaking head*** Buzz....Buzzz.....Buzzz (answering phone) Marbles? Where are you? What do you mean stuck in New York? You are supposed to be in Texas! Credit card cancelled? What? Are you guys ok? siggggghhhhhhhh. Ok, I'll send you the money for the upgrade...when will you be back in Texas? Tomorrow? sigggghhhhhhh (again)....ok....I'll go find a Western Union.....ok, ok....see you tomorrow, then. | ***Muses, Muses, Muses*** Soukie is just as mischievous as Carol and Marbles....and she got away with a credit card! It's going to be a long time getting over this round of shenanigans, I tell you! While I am grateful that they are soon coming home (still keeping fingers crossed on that), I am still in amazement over the escapades. Sydney, partying all night, credit card charges and Tasmanian devil fights! What these Muses won't do! But on the plus side, the Inquiring Minds contest got off without a hitch! I've learned a bit about it, and feel confident in running it again in the spring. I also have no idea what the Construct Cup is all about, but with Marbles by my side, I'm sure I won't embarrass myself too badly. Only a couple of weeks until Christmas is here then on to the New Year! | OK, OK! You win, Marbles! I want you to come home and help me, PLEASE! I don't know how else to phrase it! I have too much on my plate and I cannot possibly keep up with all of it without you! I will try not to work you so hard anymore, and if you and Carol want to hang out, I won't argue with you over it. But enough is enough! | To my dearest, most wonderful Muse, Marbles: Ever since we've started on Writing.Com, we've been together through thick and thin. I don't know what I would do without you, and the thought of you leaving makes me want to cry. You are a wonderful source of inspiration, and I could not have written the items that I have without you. I owe my achievements and awards to you, and I would be completely lost without you. You do realize what challenges lay ahead of us in the New Year, and I know that you are up to these challenges. You've needed a holiday, and I know you and Carol are having a lot of fun. But Jim and I need you guys back soon. Please remember all of the fun we have together, and I am sincerely begging you to come home. I humbly ask your forgiveness for the error of my ways - in dragging you into the middle of Elf Island intrigue. I am glad you are enjoying your well deserved holiday in Sydney with Carol. But I am begging you to PLEASE come home. There is so much to do and things to get ready for in the New Year, and I will be totally lost without you! Carol and I are having the most fun here in Sydney. This has been quite the holiday, and I'm not ready for it to end yet! Thinking seriously of talking Carol into staying for the Meow Meow's Little Mermaid show. We should see about tickets. I think Jim Hall  and amyjo-Keeping it real and fun!  can get along without us for a bit. They will have their hands full scheming to get off Elf Island, and away from the Dread Queen  Then there is the Inquiring Minds contest for them to judge...I noticed that they are also going to hang themselves with the Winter Construct Cup...let's see how they fair with that!
