This choice: Talk to Abby about Caleb • Go Back... "Caleb? Really!?" you ask with surprise. Abby turns red and looks nervous at that and you realize you came off as way too harsh, so you decide to walk it back a little. "I mean I'm just surprised, that's all. He's, you know, my best friend so I guess I kind of take things for granted?"
"It's not like I'm in love with him or something," states Abby. "And I get that there are better looking guys or anything but come on, I have to be realistic! It's not like, I don't know, Marc Garner is going to see me and fall hopelessly in love."
"Makes it sound like you're settling," you say.
"No no, nothing like that!" she says with a shake of her head. "But, and I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but do you think that you'd have a chance with Chelsea Cooper or Kendra Saunders?" You admit that you probably wouldn't. "Okay, so what about Lotte?"
"What about her?" you ask, not sure you like the direction she's probably going.
"Well, I mean, you guys have been flirting all evening!"
"We're not flirting!" you groan.
"Oh please," she rolls her eyes. "But okay, sure, you're not flirting but you seem to be getting along with her, right? So what if she asked you to go out?"
"I don't think she's going to— we just met!"
"I'm just trying to prove a point," Abby shoots back. "Kendra might not be realistic for you but Lotte is and if, if you dated her do you think you'd be settling?"
"Uh, no? Not really?" you answer with trepidation. You feel like she's putting you on the spot and engaging in more than just a simple hypothetical. But you're not about to call her out on that either. "If we got along or I liked her personality or something, then no."
"That's what I mean. I'm being realistic about my options. I had a class with Caleb last year and we got along in it and I thought he was funny, like I said," she states. "So, like, if I wanted to ask him out then I wouldn't be settling. Settling would be, I don't know, dating that creep Josiah Shanks because I don't feel like I have other options. You get it?"
You suppose you do although you think that she's trying to convince herself more than she's trying to convince you. But all of her talk does convince you of something: Abby is who you're going to switch with. You've only just met her but she seems comfortable enough to be open with you like this already so if you offered to talk to her some more about Caleb, you feel like she'd be receptive to the idea. So you decide to broach the subject with her.
"I get it," you affirm with a nod of your head. "And, uh, like I said Caleb is my best friend so if you want then we can meet up somewhere after this to talk about it. You know, I can tell you a little bit about him and all that."
"Yeah?"
"Sure. You know the Acheson Community Center?"
"Of course," she answers, "I live out by Schuyler so close enough to it."
"Great, so do I! Close to the community center, I mean. So we can meet out there... if you're fine with it, of course."
"I guess so," she says. "I don't really have a problem with that."

You look at Abby as she sits in the driver's seat of her car, mouth slightly agape and breathing softly as unblinking eyes stare ahead at nothing. The study session ended not too long after everyone came back. You'd pulled Deanna aside as you were leaving to tell her that Karen seemed like a no go and you'd switched targets. She'd wanted to know who but you told her not to mind it and that you'd get in touch with her after you'd made the switch.
Abby had to drop off her friends first so you'd left the library and headed over to the community center where you'd waited in the parking lot. When you saw what looked like her car pull in, you'd hopped out of your truck and waved her over. She'd barely gotten the car off and door open when you'd hit her with the blank mask. You're thankful that the lighting in the parking lot isn't the best as the darkness provides a bit of cover while you wait for the mask to do its thing and though the parking lot is largely empty you're still fidgety.
Finally, though, the mask seems to finish and you quickly scoop it up. Just as quickly, you put the mask of yourself that you'd made onto Abby and in an instant where Abby once sat is now a very familiar boy dressed in her clothes.
"Kinky," your duplicate says as he looks himself over.
"Shut up, grab her keys, and just follow me over to the basement," you respond. "I can't really be getting nude out here."
Your duplicate, as is to be expected, does what he's told. You head down into the basement and flip a light on before ordering him to strip as you yourself do the same. You shove your clothes at him and tell him to get dressed and once he's finished with that you send him home. You're then left all alone in the basement, naked and with a mask that reads ABIGAIL DENISE MCDONALD on the back. Taking a breath, you sit down and pull it towards your face.
* * * * *
You groan as you come to. The basement is cool and dank. The overhead light that buzzes bathes the room with its dulling—you should probably replace the bulb soon—light. You sit for a moment and take deep breaths as you reorient yourself and then, with a grunt, push yourself up into a standing position and immediately notice how off you feel; how different. Oh on the inside you still know that you're Will Prescott but physically...
As far as height, not much has changed as Will Prescott and Abby McDonald are reasonably close in height. But where Will is a reedy, scrawny, scarecrow of a young man, Abby is a very full-figured young woman.
To be sure her arms could be a little smaller and maybe her stomach has some paunch but you use your hands to poke and grasp and raise breasts that are large and well developed. And you use those hands to feel for an ass that, you noticed at the library, strained the dark pants Abby was wearing. Thighs that are large and soft. And...
You sit back down as fingers work their way through a bush that could use a little more care until you find what you're looking for and allow your new fingers and new memories to take charge the way the real girl has done so many times before until you reach a climax.
Oh, for sure Abby McDonald is not the most attractive girl you've see seen but she's not hopeless and the excitement of being in a girl's body, of controlling it, of being able to touch and caress it, makes it exciting no matter how you look. Even if it was Gwen you copied or—a name and image flash in your mind—Sophia Dewberry you'd probably still feel the excitement and temptation. But Abby, to be frank, isn't all that different put together than someone like Victoria Rodriguez. Certainly her face isn't pretty as Victoria's but it's not her face that got her insulted and demeaned.
No, that started after her family moved to Saratoga Falls between eighth and ninth grades. Unfortunately, that's also when a growth spurt hit Abby and she also began to eat more. She was tall, chubby, and awkward which made her an easy target for the assholes and bitches. Flabby Abby was the most common nickname lobbed her way and though she was lucky to find some really good friends, it didn't stop her from feeling resentful or envious of the other, higher tier girls.
"What does Victoria Rodriguez have that I don't?" she'd wonder as Victoria was one of the girls who really liked that name even though, again, there wasn't much difference.
But from an outsider's perspective the difference is clear as day. Victoria knows how to present herself much better. She wears clothing that flatters and accentuates her shape and feature and in general is much more fashionable than... you look over at the tight black pants, white shirt, and pink hoodie. You grab a clump of barely styled and flat chestnut hair, much less appealing than Victoria's well-maintained locks. And she's very good with makeup, something that Abby uses but not well.
And she has a boyfriend. A handsome one. You're going to be Abby and though you want to run things from the shadow, you can't help but want to improve her image as well. And in addition to fashion, that means finding her a boyfriend. And, weird as it is to think, Caleb would probably be a good start. But would Caleb Johansson really improve Abby McDonald's reputation? He's not exactly a prize.
But, an idea begins to swirl, he could be. If you approached him and talked to him and—maybe telling him who you actually are or simply presenting yourself as Abby—enter into a partnership with him. Find him a nicer looking, higher tier, and most importantly single guy to switch with and let him be Abby's boyfriend.
But there's also a part of it that leaves you cold. Could you really just date your best friend like that, even if you sunk yourself deep into Abby's persona? Maybe you'd be better off just putting all thoughts of romance and boyfriends aside and simply work on improving your image. You have Chelsea and Deanna under your control and if you added someone like Victoria or another fashionable, desirable girl to your "committee," then the sky could be the limit.
