A group of seven popular kids were making snide remarks about a mousy girl (Charlotte) who was wearing thick glasses. They talked about her hair, her clothes and everything else about her. It was a mixed (boys and girls) group of seven students. You thought they were being cruel to her, so you gave all of them her preferences. Their attitudes changed as they realized that Charlotte's hair style was really quite endearing. They liked the modest amount of makeup she wore, her choice in glasses, the high necked button down top she wore in a faded yellow floral print. They liked everything about her, even the underwear she wore even though they couldn't see it. It was their style now. But it wasn't only her clothes they liked, they liked her tastes in everything from food to movies to men. Since she was the fashion leader, Charlotte naturally became de-facto the leader of the group. Everyone wanted to know where she bought her clothing since they all wanted to be dressed the same way, including the boys. Having the same tastes in boys caused problems with the group, since they were always competing for the same men, but Charlotte being the leader would have the first pick of the men they encountered.
