In the boys section of a clothing store you saw a mom looking for clothing for her son. Her son was there and he didn't want to be there. He had a few items that he wore all the time and he didn't like his mom picking out new stuff for him. But he was a growing boy and his old clothing was getting very worn and starting to become too small for him. The mother picked out (what she thought) was one cute item after another for her son to wear. But no matter what she picked, her son didn't seem to like any of it.
Exasperated the mother said, "Mark this is so cute, just try it on."
Mark retorted, "If you think it is so cute, then you wear it." The shirt was a crew neck t-shirt in dark cyan with Spiderman swooshing on his web and a caption which read, 'Not all superheros wear capes'. You thought this was a great idea which you put into his mother's mind. His mother took the shirt and went to the dressing room removed her own top and her bra and put it on herself. When she got back, she absolutely loved it.
"OK, if you don't want to wear it, then I will."
"Fine,' was the boys reply.
After today, the mother never wore woman's clothes again instead preferring the clothing she would have chosen for her boy. This included not just outerwear, but underwear and shoes and socks. But Mark wouldn't get away so easily. If his mother was going to wear his clothes, someone had to wear his mother's old clothing. That someone would be Mark. By punishing the boy and giving him nothing else to wear, Mark would eventually only be wearing his mother's old apparel whether he liked it or not. He certainly didn't like it.
