Pete blinked, confused. “What?”

“You’re a good person, Pete, that much is clear from the short time we’ve spent together. You’re diligent, smart, a hard worker, but most importantly, you care about this town. I need someone like that helping me out.”

“I appreciate the offer, sir, I-I really do,” Pete stammered, “but I’m still in high school, and like I said before, I know nothing about office work. I’m not the right fit for the job.”

Tyrese chuckled and tapped the document you signed. “Oh, you don’t need to worry about that. This will handle everything.”
