Humans are only now catching up with the level of technology enjoyed in Sanctuary space, but in the field of theoretical, or “pure” mathematics, they actually surpass Sanctuary races. Professor Leigh, in addition to his teaching duties, is chair of a workgroup that is developing a “unified math:” that combines the best of Sanctuary and human mathematical concepts.

Professor Leigh also calls himself an amateur philosopher, and can be quite insightful on a number of subjects. You’re one of a handful of students who meet with him as a group for dinner at his residence every fortnight. You feel quite fortunate to be in that little clique.

You are caught off guard one day when he invites you, and only you, for a cup of coffee
